But I had to comment on the statement about no one knowing who Letitia Baldridge was when she was the Social Secretary at the WH. Everyone knew who she was, mostly because Mrs. Kennedy despised the press and wouldn&#39;t do anything with them she didn&#39;t absolutely have to. So Miss Baldridge was the person who briefed the press on the various social events at were being held at the WH. She did not attend the functions as a guest, but was there to make sure things ran smoothly. Everyone knew who she was, but she did not push herself into the spotlight, ever. <br /><br />The problem with the current occupants of the WH is that while you can take the girl out of the &quot;hood&quot;, you apparently can&#39;t take the &quot;hood&quot; out of the girl. And it shows. To the country&#39;s detriment, I am afraid.<br /><br />And someone should tell Ms. Rogers that &quot;walk-ins&quot; at a WH function simply do not happen, at least, they shouldn&#39;t. Of course, the Obamas think they are going to change Washington and the way things are done there. They won&#39;t, they will simply make a laughingstock of themselves for their ignorance, and I mean that literally as in ignoring the proper protocol. <br /><br />I was raised in the diplomatic corps, so protocol has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. It makes me sick to my stomach to see the sloppy and rude behavior of the current occupants of the WH. They just don&#39;t get it.
