Christmas 2025

And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.  And this shall be a sign unto you; ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

Raj and I would like to wish all of our wonderful friends here a very, very Merry Christmas. We all deserve to set the world’s burdens aside and simply embrace the beauty and miracle that is Christmas.            

We send our love to each of you and wish you all a wonderful Christmas. Fill it to the brim with all the merry and the bright you can muster, for we are indeed blessed.

Happy Christmas Eve

Happy Christmas Eve fellow travelers. It seems impossible it’s here again already and yet here we are, ready or not.

And once again Raj and I are the grateful beneficiaries of the Moti’s abundant generosity and love and we thank you very, very much for making our Christmas merry and bright. Here is the beyond gorgeous gold and white arrangement we received from you yesterday wishing us “peace, love and all things good.”

It’s equally beautiful from both sides:

The greens that appear brown are actually gold but didn’t photograph well in this light. They’re quite lovely but alas, my photography skills aren’t.

And that’s not all! A box of gourmet bonbons from Maeve in flavors such as brambleberry and cream brulee, both of which I can confirm are absolutely yummy, and many more. Also a candle that smells of Christmas itself: Fraser fir. It will fill the house with the comfortable scent of days when all Christmas trees were real and fresh cut.

We humbly thank all of you and are happy that you’ve found us and each other to share the joys and burdens of life. Of course I wish I could provide the type of commentary I used to but I’m pleased that you’ve taken over the role and continue to congregate here.

I wish you all a happy Christmas Eve no matter where your sleigh takes you: midnight church service, a raucous houseful or a quit evening in the peace of Christ’s birth.  May the joy of the season bring you blessings, joy, love, and moments to be cherished throughout the year.
