Then the ticket would have two ids (the “it”) with an ego (the “I”) and a superego (the above “I”) – and at least one of them is not too smart.

Don’t get me wrong, I love the Donald. Butt what makes him think he can be President? Has he ever been a community organizer? “Written” two autobiographies before age 40? Taught a constitutional law class grounded in social justice?
Oh wait -
He does have that crease thing going for him. And he knows how to build a dynasty.

Welcome to post-racial America, where "reverse-passing" has become a real thing. (Thanks, Obama!) Today we return to the odd case of “Racial” (h/t Abenaki) Dolezal: the white woman who thinks she’s black.
I say stop bullying her, she has already been the victim of 8 separate hate crimes so how much more street cred do you need? I believe we’ve established the fact she’s “biologically” Caucasian-American, butt apparently in Racial’s mind she’s an African-American. As such, she’s entitled to hold the jobs that non-African-Americans won’t do: serving as President of the Spokane NAACP and Professor of Africana Studies at Eastern Washington University. And being trans-racial also entitle her to special grants, scholarships, access to special programs and all the free self-tanning lotion she wants.
If you can decide you’ve been born into the wrong gender/genders you can certainly decide you’ve been born into the wrong race. Especially now that we’ve learned that being “African-American is biological” butt race is just a social construct. See if you can make heads or tails out of this discussion – although I warn you; even the normally lucid Tammy Bruce seems as clear as mud (no racial animus intended) here:
I thought Brian Benjamin made up the idea of race being a social construct, butt quelle surprise! It’s a real thing:
Race is not biologically real -it is socially and politically constructed via law, public policy and social practices.
And if you can be transgendered and trans-racial I see no reason why you can’t also be trans-specious as well (as in “species” not “specious” – unless of course the shoe fits). So until further notice I have decided to be a cat. A black cat. Beware.

Last week began with an obsession over the McKinney Texas pool controversy. Lets start this week with a peripheral story: when high school principal Alberto Iber made an impolitic comment on a Miami Herald online story, public outrage and redress was swift and severe; he was removed from his job.
Miami-Dade Superintendent of Schools Alberto Carvalho explains why:
“Judgment is the currency of honesty. Insensitivity — intentional or perceived — is both unacceptable and inconsistent with our policies, but more importantly with our expectation of common sense behavior that elevates the dignity and humanity of all, beginning with children.”
First of all, “judgment is the currency of honesty.” Really? I would think that if honesty were to have a currency it would be “words” not “judgment.” Of course that only makes sense if words have meaning, which they no longer do. In fact, when the sin is “perceived insensitivity” not only do words no longer have meaning, they don’t even matter.
And does anyone else find it ironic that the agency (education) almost single-handedly responsible for removing the entire concept of “judgment” from the public forum and replacing it with “tolerance” now demands that we all exercise good judgment?
So I would advise that we all be vewy, vewy caweful with our words lest we say something that might result in “perceived insensitivity” in certain currencies. And be certain to remain vigilant: there will be counterfeits out there; currencies, philosophers and philosophies.
