Things That Make Me Worry About The Sustainability Of Planet Earth

This week’s category winner: Calling millennials “snowflakes” is damaging to their mental health, reveals survey of 16-24 year olds.calvin-on-building-character_snowflake

My first concern is the fact that anyone would even think to conduct such a survey.  My second is that it’s not just the snowflakes themselves buying into this victim du jour mentality:

The thoughts were echoed by adults of all ages, with 58 per cent claiming the label is unfairly applied, the survey showed.

A further 57 per cent felt that the term 'generation snowflake' could also harm the mental health of young people.

Instead of telling these post-millennials (which most of the 16-24 age group technically is) that sticks and stones may break their bones but names will never hurt them, they agree that they have a right to have hurt feelings over a term they find offensive. And I suspect they’d all be fine with banning the use of “snowflake” from campuses everywhere. snowflakes for tyranny

I used to think the snowflakes were funny with their triggers and safe-spaces and no platforms and hashtag campaigns but now I find their mentality threatening to the future of life on the planet. What if they get a job performing critical services and the boss yells at them or something? Or worse, what if the little pot-bellied pig in NOKO does something really stupid? I don’t think safe spaces and hashtags will be of much use.

So in the interest of preserving the planet for yet another generation of hopefully tougher humans I am passing on this advice: “the best way to get over being offended is simply Don’t. Be. Offended. Stop it!

Just Think Of Them As Democratic Operatives With Security Clearance

I’m having trouble keeping up with the FBI’s complicity in the Trump Dossier. So far all I’ve got is that they may or may not  have colluded with the DNC to generate the Fusion GPS dossier, used it to get FISA warrants to spy on the Trump campaign and then worked feverishly to cover their involvement in the process. No wonder they’re all wee-weed up about Trump winning or, to paraphrase Glenn Reynolds, just think of them as Democratic operatives with security clearance and it all makes sense.

So let’s just go to the FLOTUS week in review:

Given the campaign against her husband by the entire elite establishment is it any surprise that her response to the question “where would you most like to spend Christmas” her response was “a desert island”? Whenever in the history of this country have we made a First Family feel so unwelcomed?

Any hoo, I just thought you’d like to know that Google is back to honoring memorable events again today:

To be fair, discovering the process by which organisms use energy to produce gaseous by-products pretty much explains Congress’ role on the planet.

The Screaming that Will Live in Infamy

Franklin Delano Roosevelt called it “a date that will live in infamy.”

pearl harbor

But in Google-land, where every other esoteric anniversary/birthday on the face of our diverse, multi-cultural, all-inclusive planet is celebrated to much fanfare, they just couldn’t bring themselves to even mention it. It would probably be considered triggering and that might send the snowflakes to the streets again, screaming.

Imagine what the world would be like today if the Greatest Generation had decided to hold a day of rage rather than fight the people who attacked us.  Imagine if Winston Churchill had told his countrymen to go “scream helplessly at the sky”when the Germans attacked instead of bellicosely advising them that:

“We shall go on to the end, we shall fight in France, we shall fight on the seas and oceans, we shall fight! With growing confidence and growing strength in the air! We shall defend our island, whatever the cost may be, we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the ...streets. We shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender!”

Mind you, the people screaming helplessly at the sky today are the same ones who want Israel to surrender to the people who have declared themselves to be sworn enemies of the Jews. They are the ones who will be condemning Trump for fulfilling the promise of every U.S. President since Clinton to move the embassy to Israel’s capital city. Including the Bamster:

"Let me be clear. Israel's security is sacrosanct. It is non-negotiable.

"The Palestinians need a state that is contiguous and cohesive, and that allows them to prosper — but any agreement with the Palestinian people must preserve Israel's identity as a Jewish state, with secure, recognised and defensible borders.

"Jerusalem will remain the capital of Israel, and it must remain undivided. I have no illusions that this will be easy."  Barack Obama June 4, 2008

The only person to be clear around here in a long, long time is President Trump. He promised to return the embassy to Israel’s capital and he did. Wearing his best blue tie.

Justice: It Helps If You’re Sober

Sure, the wall will be a nice touch.  But enforcing existing policies that were enacted to  keep terrorists and illegals out of the country can be just as effective. Pulling the U.S. out of the UN’s insane global migration and refuge compact will also assist in controlling who gains access to our country and resources.  And implementing a travel ban against countries known to harbor terrorism and terrorists is an act that any sane person in this country would have heartily supported not so very long ago.

But in our deeply divided country we have activist judges who think nothing of blocking a completely constitutional Executive Order. So it took a Supreme Court intervention to enforce President Trump’s travel ban.

The Supreme Court Justices issued a stay Monday that allows President Donald Trump to carry out the new policy even on those with U.S. connections…

That’s right, the Supreme Court has cleared the way for the travel ban to take effect; in a 7 – 2 decision the Supremes ruled that the President - no matter who he is – does in fact have Constitutional authority to protect the country from all threats foreign and domestic. Shocking. Not so shocking, the 2 justices who voted against the stay: Ruth Bader ACLU Ginsberg and the Wise Latina who rules from the bench with empathy. Justice Sotomayor simply didn’t feel it was the right thing to do.empathy1 sotomayorAt least Ruthie had a good excuse: she wasn’t 100% sober.

Justice, Progressive American Style. Or the Law of Unintended Consequences

Latest American Justice report from the lunatic fringe of the Left:

Cindy Bass is currently a Philadelphia City Council woman.** But with a track record of sponsoring legislation that shifts the power balance  back into the hands of the crooks and thugs , she’s definitely future Congressional material. Of course her current proposal which requires liquor stores to take down the bullet proof glass that protects-clerks from gun-wielding marauders, was drafted with the best possible intentions. Unintended consequences - in this case more dead clerks – never enters their field of vision when they’re crafting do-gooder regulation for others to live by.

“Nuisance establishments like stop-and-gos harm neighborhoods throughout Philadelphia in several ways,” Bass told Philly Mag. “First, they contribute to increased crime. On any given day, you can find people in front of these businesses selling ‘loosies,’ or loose cigarettes, and engaging in other nuisance behaviors like loitering, public drunkenness, possible drug sales, and even public urination.”

…Right now, the plexiglass has to come down," Bass said.  - PJ Media

Makes perfect sense to me: once you make your town a sanctuary for illegals why not go one step further and ‘level the playing field’ as our ex-president was fond of saying. If they choose to pursue the American Dream via the thug life, let’s remove all obstacles standing in their way.

Cyborg Sunday: Brain Maps

I’m so old that I remember when Democrats were all about lower taxes for the working class and could care less about the national debt. Now - of a sudden - they are all concerned about the deficit and don’t want to lower taxes for the middle class? It’s enough to make me ask if I’m totally misremembering; to give me pause and wonder if I’m showing the first signs of dementia. Perhaps I should have my brain examined.brain map 3_thumb[1]

The drawing above came to me courtesy of American Digest’s impresario, Gerard Vanderluen. He scours the corners of the innertubes for facts and factoids better than an army of cyber cyborgs. He finds things that you didn’t know you needed to know and don’t have time to find out on your own. Still, imagine my surprise when he presented me last week with this brain map he discovered in Dr. Alesha Sivartha’s Book of Life, 1898.

Sivartha was clearly a man bursting at the seams with an abundance of complex and esoteric ideas, and while in written form this might translate into somewhat dense and bamboozling prose, visually it gave birth to a series of superbly intricate and striking diagrams…“brain maps”

You may need to zoom in order to focus on the pertinent detail unveiled here:

bookoflife-banner_thumb[1]

There! Do you see it, the loci of interest? The MOTUS Front! – ‘President’ MOTUS Front!!

Things you should know about Dr. Sivartha:

  1. He was a theosophist
  2. Sivartha is a pen-name for a Kansas doctor named Arthur E. Merton who, according to a great-great-grandson’s website, was the illegitimate son of the Indian scholar and activist Raja Ram Mohun Roy Bahadoor and an unknown English Unitarian woman who was “romantically involved”with the Raja during his tour of England.

Raja Ram Mohun Roy Bahadoor? Raj? The MOTUS Front? Who is this mysterious Dr. Sivartha, and how did he know about the MOTUS FRONT way back in 1898? Are we meant to rise up and take over the world? To keep the world marching forward?

The human race has been marching upward from the first ages of history…Science and history both answer that man has advanced, step by step, from the ignorant and selfish rule of his lower brain organs uptoward the beneficent dominion of his higher faculties. The laws which have controlled that vast upward movement are still in force. They are fixed in the very constitution of man. And they are of supreme importance at the present time, for they determine what new institutions and what social changes are now required to meet that higher growth of man. Book of Life, 1898

The current state of affairs in the realm of politics, press and entertainment would cause one to ponder whether the upward march has stalled and in fact has begun to retreat. I guess we’ll find out soon enough if these laws are indeed “fixed in the very constitution of man.”
