The World Is A Complicated Place. Take A Nap And Wait For Dinner.

“People don’t realize how hard it is to speak the truth to a world full of people that don’t realize they’re living a lie.” – unattributed

Not really fiction anymore | Venn Diagram Parodies | Know Your MemeDystopian worlds: not just for fiction anymore

Perhaps there’s not enough evidence to satisfy Tucker Carlson and his News Corp producers, but 72 million Americans know that this election was a sham and fraud. And while we don’t know all the specifics we do know that it was perpetrated by the proponents of the Great Reset and One World Order. Oh wait – does that make me sound too much like a John Birch nutter?  Do I fall in the camp of the conspiracy whack-jobs? That’s okay with me; there are only 3 camps you can fall in and the other 2 are far worse:

Camp 1:  The “conspiracists” who look at election results across the country where urban vote counting stopped inexplicably around 3:00 AM in order to allow “adjustments” to arrive by machine count and pony express ballot deliveries - and who suspect a whole lot of election fraud was going on. Because….voila! Just as the cognoscenti told us prior to election day “it might look like Trump is winning on election day but when ALL the ballots are counted Biden will be declared the winner.” This camp consists primarily of skeptical conservatives who have been observing Democrats’ election behavior for decades.

Camp 2: the camp of the concessionaires who just want to call a stop to it all and continue on our merry way to Hell in a handbasket. Mainly populated by RINOs and Never-Trumpers.

Camp 3: The rest of the country who by and large reside in Plato’s allegorical cave, exclusively viewing  shadows cast by Big Media and where actual facts don’t matter as they are uncomfortable coming out of their cave.

Whichever camp you’re in we are told we’re to accept now as doctrine their “truth” that this country freely and fairly elected a senile, corrupt old fool who held car “rallies” and masked circle-jerks in order to refute his own previous positions in which he favored the end of fracking (energy independence), open borders, Black Lives Matter/ANTIFA thuggery, the continuation of China screwing American businesses and higher than a kite taxes on the middle class. And did so while telling us, Freudian or not, that “we have put together I think the most extensive and inclusive voter fraud organization in the history of American politics.”

I’m beginning to think that leftists were all raised by Calvin’s father.

Abandon All Hope

I still don’t know how to process all of yesterday’s weirdness. One would think that a room full of journalists - presented with specifics outlining how widescale coordinated voter fraud was executed against an American President during a supposedly free and fair American presidential election – would have been flying out the room by the hundreds in a rush to become real investigative journalists. Real journalists couldn’t wait to pursue this story and dig up more data (pro tip – no digging even required) further exposing this  massive fraud in pursuit of the once prestigious Pulitzer Prize.

Instead the journo-lemmings have all gone flying over the cliff of perfidy and are soaring towards its bottomless pit of woe.

Well, technically it’s not bottomless, it ends with the 9th ring of hell which is reserved for the treacherous amongst us.

The Soul Man Cometh

We Chumps are not likely to be as pleased as Chucky about his plans for how Joey can spend our money without our consent - before it’s even “deemed” to be “his” to spend.

Of course forgiving student loans was Pocahontas’ plan to win the Dem primary. Didn’t work out well for her, possibly for the same reason referenced by Damon, above - Chump anger:

A man approached Warren with a question. “My daughter is getting out of school. I’ve saved all my money [so that] she doesn’t have any student loans. Am I going to get my money back?”

“Of course not,” Warren replied.

“So you’re going to pay for people who didn’t save any money, and those of us who did the right thing get screwed?”

A video of the exchange went viral. It summed up the frustration many feel over the way progressive policies so often benefit select groups, while subtly undermining others. Saving money to send your children to college used to be considered a hallmark of middle-class responsibility. By subsidizing people who run up large debts, Warren’s policy would penalize those who took that responsibility seriously. “You’re laughing at me,” the man said, when Warren seemed to wave off his concerns. “That’s exactly what you’re doing. We did the right thing and we get screwed.”

That father was expressing an emotion growing more common these days: he felt like a chump.

City Journal

Yup, that’s us alright, the “chumps” as Soul Man Joe calls us.

“We don't do things like those chumps out there with the microphones, those Trump guys.” But don’t worry, just because we’re chumps doesn’t mean Joe won’t be in our camp:  “I’ll work just as hard for those who don’t support me as those who do, including those CHUMPS with the microphone out there.”

Well no thank you Mr. Soul Man, not only did you not win but I quite got my fill of disdainful contempt during your former boss’ tenure. So don’t be surprised if we chumps are a little bitter and continue to cling to our guns and religion in reaction to the antipathy you and your cohorts hurl at we deplorables – just because we hold different political beliefs than the Enlightened Wons.

And don’t ever ask me again why we can’t all just get along. When people hate you for ideological reasons they are very, very difficult to get along with. And if you don’t believe me, just ask any of those “moderate” Muslims terrorists, foreign or domestic.

‘Whoa, I’m A Ghost, Living In A Ghost Town’

I have lots to do before heading off to the surgery center for Raj’s knee replacement so I leave you with a song in honor of Governor Gretch’s re-imposition of the statewide shutdown as of tomorrow.

It’s a newish  Stones song released earlier this year that captures the current cootie zeitgeist.  Welcome to Living In A Ghost town 2.0. And be prepared for many, many subsequent updates unless we the people reclaim our freedom and demand the right to determine for ourselves whether we wish to wear motorcycle helmets or not.

     Whoa, oh, whoa, oh

I'm a ghost
Living in a ghost town
I'm a ghost
Living in a ghost town

You can look for me
But I can't be found
You can search for me
I had to go underground
Life was so beautiful
Then we all got locked down
Feel a like ghost
Living in a ghost town, yeah

Once this place was humming
And the air was full of drumming
The sound of cymbals crashing
Glasses were all smashing
Trumpets were all screaming
Saxophones were blaring
Nobody was caring if it's day or night

Whoa, oh, whoa, oh

I'm a ghost
Living in a ghost town
I'm going nowhere
Shut up all alone

So much time to lose
Just staring at my phone

Every night I am dreaming
That you'll come and creep in my bed
Please let this be over
Not stuck in a world without end

Whoa, oh, whoa, oh
Whoa, oh, whoa, oh, oh…

Will report back later, but surgery’s not scheduled until 1:00 pm so it will be a good while. Do behave.

What Are the Odds?

Our doe-eyed Governor comes through for us once again.

Gov. Whitmer closing high schools, colleges, in-person dining, casinos, movie theaters

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer announced wide-ranging new restrictions limiting gatherings at high schools, colleges and restaurants Sunday night to combat what she described as the "worst moment" yet in the COVID-19 pandemic.

The restrictions, imposed through a Michigan Department of Health and Human Services order [ed. because the Michigan Supreme Court said she wasn’t allowed to do so by edict anymore, this is the ‘legal’ work-around], will take effect Wednesday and be in place until they end on Dec. 8. Under the order, indoor residential gatherings will be limited to two households at any one time.

"The situation has never been more dire," Whitmer said Sunday. "We are at the precipice, and we need to take some action."

Ah yes, those damn precipices.

Dr. Do-A-Lot-More

I wish we all had a governor as enlightened (and self-aware) as New York’s:

‘Abuse Of Power Is A Virus,’ Gov. Cuomo Says

And he would know.

So: what do you suppose the odds are that Raj’s scheduled surgery proceeds as planned on Wednesday?

Our New Electoral Religion

Calvin and Hobbes on Twitter:

An aside: this is my entry into the 2020 Evergreen Tweets contest. Please vote for me, ballots will be accepted through December…of 2021.

This didn’t just happen you know; none of this just happened. It represents a lot of behind the scenes, dedicated hard work.

As well as the development of some new twists on old tricks.

Imaginary numbers | Calvin and Hobbes | Know Your Meme

And when all is said and done you just have to accept the results on faith.

You either believe the numbers, or you don’t –it’s like religion for Leftists.

The only thing: unlike religion the new electoral math can be litigated. And audited.
