Caturday: It’s Only A Whimsical Notion

To fly down to Rio tonight. And I probably won’t fly down to Rio, but then again I just might

fly to Katmandu…

The “Good Old Days” May Not Be As Great As We Thought

But these days will never qualify as great!

Taco Tuesday: Who Would Have Thought?

With all America has to offer, who would have thought that tacos would rule the night? Surely not the 10 year old me. I had barely heard of pizza.

Black Privilege at the Oscars

I understand Will Smith smacked Chris Rock live onstage at the Oscars last night because Rock made a joke about Smith’s wife’s (Jada Pinket-Smith) hair.

I guess without President Donald Trump to curse at and kick around it was inevitable that they turn on each other.

Maybe we should just cancel the Academy Awards until we elect someone they all hate again.

Still Waiting On Spring

Good morning peeps,

sunrise in the mist

I know it’s spring for many of you around the country, but up here in the mountains, although it’s warm this weekend, spring is still but a dream off on sone misty horizon.

I know I promised the story of my trip to the DMV but it will have to wait awhile. Truth is I’ve been dealing with vertigo and balance issues ever since my “mild” Covid incident at the beginning of January. While it’s likely “long-haul Covid” between it and the ongoing fatigue it is wearing me down. I have an appointment with an ENT specialist but it’s still a couple of weeks off (thank you Obamacare!). So I will continue to stumble around, attempting to stay upright.

Until I regain my ballast, most posts will be abbreviated – although I’m half way through the DMV story so I will post it eventually.

Spring cannot get here soon enough.
