Anyone Who Gets The Media So Wee-Weed Up Is Doing Something Right

I hereby bestow my Column of the Week – on second thought make that of the Century – award to Roger L. Simon for this: Panic in Progressive Park: What If He’s Actually Good? 

And while Roger’s columns are generally award worthy simply because of his command of the English language this award is for being the first to acknowledge a very real possibility: Donald Trump may just turn out to be a great president:

Reason for the panic -- the dawning realization, repressed and often unrecognized though it may be, that Donald Trump may even a be a good president, possibly a great one.

Contemplate for a moment what the world will look like if Donald Trump accomplishes even half of what he promised. A hundred years hence historians will marvel at the impact just one man had on the course of history. The 2016 election will be seen as the 21st century’s pivot point; the precise moment at which the pendulum on it’s racing arc towards “progressivism” suddenly stopped and began the journey back towards individual autonomy – a place once known as “America.”

Trump’s election will be taught to future students of political science as the point in human history where the people decided to take the path that leads back to American values.

Path to American values: turn right and stay on track

Where liberty means more individual freedom and less intrusive government. Where equality once again means equal opportunity not forced equal outcome. Where justice requires that the Constitution be upheld and laws enforced, and rogue Federal Agencies are punished for unlawfully abridging citizens rights.

November 8, 2016  will be marked as the point where the debilitating adherence to political correctness began to reverse course. The point where words began to mean what they were intended to mean once again, enabling meaningful communication between people who disagree.

It will be seen as the point at which the West was finally able to name and condemn Islamic-fascism as the evil ideology it is in order to annihilate it - along with all the bastards who propagated it.

And let it be noted that like the Founders who preceded him by nearly 250 years, Donald J. Trump has also risked his life, his fortune and his honor to help re-create the greatest nation the world has ever known.

Some of us appreciate that. However until such time as history reflects favorably on Donald J. Trump he shall be known to America’s journalists, aka Democratic operatives with by-lines, as the white supremacist who said “pussy.”

All I know is that anyone who can get both the media and our other enemies so wee-weed up must be doing something right:

America Will Be Great Again Despite All the Nattering Nabobs of Negativity

I watched President-Elect Trump yesterday at what the MSM are calling “victory laps” in the heartland; actually they are “thank you tours.” I also saw his interviews with several Fox News talking heads. To be sure, it was the real Donald Trump, only less bombastic and more presidential. Although he did  scoop his own PR team by announcing the appointment of General Mattis as Secretary of Defense he also passed on the opportunity to say bad things about any of his previous rivals in both parties.

This newly tempered demeanor, along with the near universal praise for the thoughtful and seriously qualified people selected for cabinet positions and his well articulated actions announced for his first 100 days leaves most of the media’s criticism of Trump in the dust. What happened to their rodeo clown?

Yeah, no; this just won’t work for the MSM.

Actually it’s simple: you’ve been Trumped!

That’s right, Donald J. Trump outplayed the players. Having employed every one of Alinsky’s Rules

You heard it first here; Alinsky works for us now!

he managed to stay in the headlines every single day following his announcement of running for president. He was in turn outrageous, intemperate and provocative. How else could you completely undermine the existing corrupt media? The crony system of patronage? The anti-middle class policies enacted over the past 8 years? Yes, he is a populist; you say that as if it’s a bad thing. Aside from the elitists in both parties the American people are delighted to hear that he wants to make us masters of our own destinies again.

You know the Left has reached the end of the road when all they can do is upgrade their enemies from “racists, sexists, homophobes and Islamaphobes” to  “white-supremacists.” Here’s a little of the exchange from last night’s Harvard Kennedy School’s post mortem forum with the Clinton and Trump campaign teams: 

“I would rather lose than win the way you guys did,” said Jennifer Palmieri, Hillary Clinton’s communications director, her voice cracking as she confronted Donald Trump’s campaign team, including manager Kellyanne Conway, sitting a few feet away.

Determined to make her point at a conference historians will use to analyze President-elect Donald Trump’s stunning victory, Palmieri said the platform the Trump campaign gave to “white supremacists and white nationalists” was “a very, very important moment in our history of our country.”

An angry Conway replied, “Do you think I ran a campaign where white supremacists had a platform? . . . Are you going to look me in the face and tell me that?”

“You did Kellyanne, you did,” Palmieri said. – Chicago Sun Times

As far as I can tell the rest of the Hillary team strategy involved charging all internet news sources that refused to run with the official Democrat Party Talking Points Memos as “fake news.” Post-defeat they added whining about how it’s not fair Hillary lost when she won the popular vote. In their alternate universe the world works the way they want it to work, not the way it was designed to work. Not entirely their fault: America as a representative Republic has not been taught in American classrooms since the mid ‘60s.

Yes people, this is no longer your Mommy and Daddy’s government; the intelligentsia, the elites, the crony capitalists are about to be replaced with thoughtful adults who are committed to Making America Great Again. More like you grandparents’ government only better.

Any-hoo, I’d like to send this message to President-Elect Trump: we hear and appreciate your heartfelt “thank you” to those of us who supported you. Butt allow me, on behalf of the thinking half of America, say, “thank YOU Mr. Trump; for hearing the American people sing.

For making us believe that America will indeed be great again despite all the nattering nabobs of negativity. Thank You.

The First Lady has been a pillar of true style since 2008, so it's no surprise that she slayed in a look perfect for the occasion.

Donning a super festive blue, silver and red floral printed dress with a bow detail, FLOTUS completed her ensemble with chic silver pumps and a sleek bob.

To say that we'll miss Mrs. Obama's iconic fashion is an understatement, but this look is definitely a great way to begin wrapping up her time in the White House.

As if she hasn't been inspiration enough, FLOTUS has single handedly reminded us that it's time to start really thinking about holiday party style and gave us a great look to start with. – Essence

Right, her sensibilities are far more Hollywood than D.C.

Butt don’t worry, neither of them are really going to go away:

The good news is the Obamas plan to go back to where they got their start —promoting progressive values at the grass-roots level, with a focus on working with Democrats to help bring back White working class voter, who voted for Obama in 2012, but not for Hillary in 2016.

Oh great, NOW they’re concerned about the White working class voter.

“We have to reinvigorate the DNC so that it’s not viewed as a Washington entity but rather that it is a grassroots organization that is out all across the country and making a common cause with working people.”

Butt not until they’ve had a little R&R.

Before the Obamas take on the challenge of reinvigorating the Democratic Party, they plan to get some sleep and take a “well-deserved vacation.”

You know who really deserves a vacation? White middle-class workers, that’s who.

The Cave of the Snow Goons

I have a minor surgery this morning so I’m turning the whole thing over to you guys. Mind your manners, don’t forget the MOTUS Rule Book (sidebar) and clean up after yourselves.

To get things rolling, what do you say we all contemplate the awesomeness of our Great Presidential Christmas Hall of the Snow Goons.

Try to focus on the impermanence of the snow goons; that should make the fundamental transformation of the Central Hall into a third rate mall a bit easier to deal with.

Then imagine them all committing hari kari. That should be fun.

Only You Can Stop Californication

Seriously, it is approaching a month and leftists are still foaming at the mouth, coloring outside the lines, and diaper pinning their lapels. Frankly I think it would be more helpful if they used them to pin their yaps shut. Or maybe their noses.

“I said, ‘stick a fork in it’ honey, but I guess that works too.”

And while the despair is felt everywhere you find a liberal, it’s perhaps worst in California.  Here’s a first-person account of what it’s like to be a conservative in America’s theme park for liberal hipsters these days:

The day was full of whining and bewilderment from the lawyers I work with, with much vulgar contempt for Trump voters…I kept my head down and did not say much.

I went out for lunch, and was astonished to see high schoolers marching under Mexican Flags, and “Pride” Flags on Market Street. In the actual street! My first thought was that this is no place for children, as Market Street has many bums urinating and young ladies openly injecting drugs into their arms. Who let them out of school?…

At the end of the day, I took the elevator down with silent strangers. There were hipsters, young people lucky enough to be employed in the new information (advertising?) economy, the new “masters of the universe”, able to afford San Francisco and things. At the last moment, a guy looking like Pajama Boy, but dressed for work in skin tight pants, cool shoes, untucked shirt and full brimmed hat,

announced, “dark times ahead”. Such is the wisdom of children…

“No, hon, take the Crayola out of your nose and color in the pretty book, okay?”

My colleagues, lawyers all, informed and smart and good people almost all (I know, cue the guffaws) are reporting “massive voter suppression” in 33 states. Massive vote tampering, etc. (Fake news might actually be a real problem). A very handsome, elegant, black man with an impeccable British accent is reporting hostile glares and Uber discrimination on the streets of San Francisco! An Indian women is afraid of internment camps and trying to come up with an escape plan. The worst was a lawyer reporting to our boss that he had purchased a gun “to protect his minority friends”…  - Richochet

Actually San Francisco is different from the rest of the country only in respect to the homogeneity (as in milk, not gender preference) of their liberalism. All across America wherever Progressives gather the reaction has been the same. And as they always think they comprise the majority, who could possibly object to their spouting off over their deep despair, hatred for Trump and sense of loss?

I don’t know about the rest of the country butt this old joke (h/t Rodin) about France might explain California:

The Brits, Germans, Spanish and Italians all complained to God about His Creation: France. “Why,” they asked,”did He put so many wonderful things in France, while only putting a few good things in their own countries?” God responded that, “Yes, it is true that I put many wonderful things in France, but then I balanced it out by populating it with the French people.”

Hillary’s Annus Horribilis

I’m sure you remember this: Clinton Said Not Accepting Election Results Was ‘Horrifying’

“That’s horrifying.”

“That’s not the way our democracy works. We’ve been around 240 years. We’ve had free and fair elections and we’ve accepted the outcomes when we may not have liked them and that is what must be expected of anyone standing on a debate stage during a general election. President Obama said the other day that when you’re whining before the game is even finished it just shows you’re not even up to doing the job. “

Although not horrifying enough to prevent her from supporting recounts herself now that she’s lost fair and square.

Hillary Clinton’s campaign will participate in vote recounts of Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Michigan if they take place…the Clinton campaign “will participate in order to ensure the process proceeds in a manner that is fair to all sides.”

Because “fairness” is a core principle for liberals of all stripes…and colors.

And I’m also sure you remember how horrified The Washington Post was when they discovered that Hillary lost because of Russian-backed “fake news sites” like Drudge. I guess it would have seemed a too obvious case of projection if the story had run in the New York Times.

In yet another outbreak of disappointus horribilis, the snowflakes too are horrified that their preferred candidate lost.  Even if they didn’t bother to actually drag their sorry asses to the polls to vote for her. Thanks to self-esteem curriculums in place since their conception they’ve never experienced loss before.

Perhaps I’ve become desensitized to all things horribilis over these past 8 years or so, butt I don’t find any of these things even mildly horrible; does that make me deplorable? There is however one thing that still causes me to quake in my mukluks - the thought of having to look at this mug everyday for the next 4 years:
