Who will be next? Latin Edition

The #MeToo campaign has already taken a lot of on-air TV personalities down so you can’t help but wonder who will be next. I don’t think we’re ready as a nation to take down a non-conservative black man for inappropriate sexual behavior – that would be stereotyping and/or profiling. But by my calculations we’re up to Hispanics. So what do you think?

Will it be Geraldo Rivera (aka Jerry Rivers)?

or Esteban Colberto (aka Stephen Colbert)

In case you’re unfamiliar, Esteban is Colbert's Mexican doppelganger and host of Colberto Reporto Gigante. Yet despite the fact that one could effectively argue that Esteban/Stephen is guilty of cultural appropriation:

esteban2Stephen/Esteban and his chicas: how, I ax you, how can this NOT be cultural appropriation? And stereotyping?

colberto gif

The odds are still on the demise of Geraldo. First, because he works for FOX. Second, because Fox is already distancing themselves from him. And third, he’s already apologized for what he calls his “tawdry memoir” but the Daily Beast calls a “horndog’s bible of workplace harassment.”

And let’s face it, it doesn’t help that he looks like a 70’s porn star.

geraldo playgirlI mean, who knows what else we’ll find if we crack into Geraldo’s vault?

Nota Bene: I see Mitchy managed to whip it, whip it good, in the wee hours Saturday morning to get a Senate tax bill passed. Democrats can now officially start whining again about “tax cuts for the rich!”

FLOTUS Friday. God Bless Us, Everyone: MERRY CHRISTMAS!

This year marks the 95th annual National Christmas Tree Lighting. The tradition began in 1923 with President Calvin Coolidge and takes place in President's Park, just south of the White House. It was quite a sight even before it was fully lit:

christmas tree 2017

The President’s message was simple:

“Today is a day that I've been looking very much forward to all year long,” the president said. “It’s one that we've heard and we speak about and we dream about and now, as the president of the United States, it’s my tremendous honor to now wish America and the world a very Merry Christmas.”

"For Christians this is a holy season, the celebration of the birth of our lord and savior Jesus Christ," Trump said in his remarks. "There's hardly an aspect of our lives today that his life has not touched - art, music, culture, law and our respect for the sacred dignity of every person, everywhere in the world."

Melania looked her lovely self in a red wool Christmas coat woven with golden threads

that reflected the golden tree:

And they will fail to mention that this is common for the event as the 20,000 tickets available are raffled to people all over the country and many are unable to attend, a fact even during those magical Christmases throughout the wonderful years of the Obama Occupation:

But we are long past caring, or even listening to what the media thinks. We focus on the President’s message to America:

"We pray that our country will be a place where every child knows a home filled with love, a community rich with hope and a nation blessed with faith. On behalf of Melania, myself, Barron, all of my children, all of my grandchildren-- they're here with us tonight-- I want to thank you, God bless you, and God bless the United States of America. Thank you very much, Merry Christmas, everybody."

Speaking Truth to Power

Power’s most current interlocutor, Denzel Washington:

In an interview, Washington told The Grio where positive change in the black community needs to start: "It starts in the home," the actor said. He went on to argue:

If the father is not in the home the boy will find a father in the streets. I saw it in my generation and every generation before me, and every one since.

Washington isn't talking about boys finding a literal father figure to guide them on the right path. He's talking about the streets themselves raising kids, and that path is nothing but trouble:

If the streets raise you, then the judge becomes your mother and prison becomes your home.

Denzel – muh man! Of course every time Denzel’s character, Frank Lucus, uttered that phrase in American Gangster, somebody ended up getting whacked.

Which, come to think of it, is what happened to the last black man bold enough to state the obvious. Remember Bill Cosby’s infamous “Pound Cake” speech? The one in which he criticized the use of African American Vernacular English, the prevalence of single-parent families, low-slung pants and names like Shaniqua? He sure paid for that. Some think he’s still paying.

As it turns out Bill wasn’t exactly the role model we’d hoped, but he sure nailed it in regards to where to place the blame for the demise of the black family (besides LBJ that is).

So watch your back Denzel. My prediction: incoming allegations of inappropriate sexual conduct in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1…because it’s not easy speaking truth to power when power has it’s own agenda.

Stop Teaching Children To Hate

Stop teaching children to hate:

A Florida university is teaching a "White Racism" class designed to show "the U.S. has been and remains a white supremacist society."

“Too many Americans, especially whites, are cocooned in a ‘bubble of unreality’ as it concerns racial matters,” Thornhill said.

Students will read “important scholarship” to “gain a deeper and more sophisticated understanding of race, white racism, racial inequality, and white supremacy,” in addition to challenging “widely and adamantly held, but empirically unsubstantiated myths about racial matters in the U.S.,” Thornhill said.

everything is racist“White Racism” Course Curriculum

If you object or are offended by the course’s title you are part of the problem and according to Dr. Thornhill you are not just wrong, you are ignorant:

“Attempts to paint  the course as anything other than that contained in the course description, which is self-explanatory, betrays gross ignorance and/or malevolent intent as well as a self-evident need to enroll in the course.”Campus Reform

And Dr. Thornhill will set you straight:

“Many whites have subscribed to and promoted racist ideologies, championed and/or enacted scores of racist laws, policies, practices, and traditions, and made incalculable decisions in their daily lives that have operated to maintain white racial domination over blacks and other people of color for hundreds of years,” he said.

If that includes all the people who created, expanded and continue to support Lyndon Johnson’s “Great Society” system of welfare and handouts that destroyed the black family, I might be inclined to agree with that statement. Whereas I doubt that’s what the FGSU professor means by “racism” I’ll just self-identify  as an “ignorant” deplorable, shut up and remain irrelevant.

Side note: Another one bites the dust. But who’s counting?

Those Hides Aren’t Going To Skin Themselves

I know there was a discussion on yesterday’s thread about the Fauxahontas dust up between President Trump, Senator Warren, the press and Sarah Sanders. But it’s the latest #FakeNews non-controversy that will not die so here goes.

President Trump at a ceremony honoring the Native American veterans and the WWII Code Talkers in particular:

“You were here long before any of us were here. Although we have a representative in Congress who they say was here a long time ago. They call her ‘Pocahontas,’” he said with a chuckle.

Here’s Senator Warren’s response, in that seething-with-rage-between-clenched-teeth way that only angry progressive women seem to be able to pull off convincingly:

elizabeth-warren-hillary-clinton (1)“It is deeply unfortunate that the president of the United States cannot even make it through a ceremony honoring these heroes without having to throw out a racial slur. “

The debate then: is it a racial slur if there is no slur and - more importantly - no race in the mix?

John Hindraker answers the question, definitively I think.

“Of course, President Trump didn’t call Warren out ‘racially,’ he called her out as a liar.”

John Mirengoff elaborates:

…the President’s comment was obviously not a racial slur. He mocked Elizabeth Warren not because she is an Indian–that would be a racial slur–but precisely because she is NOT Native American, contrary to her repeated claims and her affirmative action-fueled career. Warren has been exposed as a liar, and for her to defend herself by playing the race card is really beneath contempt.

So I’ll just wrap it up with my comment from yesterday regarding the President’s flip Fauxcohontas comment: that girl better watch her back lest she find a hatchet buried in it. From friendly fire so to speak.

d872c2d7b0af20edeeaca64ac55ce80e--pocahontas-romances‘cuz those hides aren't gonna skin themselves

P.S. Kudos to Sarah Sanders, who takes more crap than the President and serves it back more eloquently than even he does.

Nobody Digs a Rabbit Hole Like a Progressive

Once you embrace the progressive premise that the ends justify the means the destruction of civilization follows on quickly.First you have the feminist’s opinion that it doesn’t matter if men are falsely accused of sexual abuse as long as it helps dismantle “the patriarchy” – as if patriarchy is a real thing in 21st Century America, home of the fatherless family.

Next thing you know the NYTimes posits that it’s okay to sexualize children for the cause of genderqueer.

genderqueer kids

Meanwhile an Indiana University Healthcare system nurse believes that “white women raise terrorist, rapist, racist, killer sons” and thinks that they should all be sacrificed. Specifically, Taiyesha Baker tweeted: “Historically every son you had should be sacrificed to the wolves. B****.'  Wow, how would you like Taiyesha being in charge of your white son’s nursing care?

Taiyesha BakerThis is Taiyesha, she “likes bongs”

Yet somehow we - the deplorables - are the racists in this equation?

And still…they can’t figure out how Donald Trump won the presidency?

trump racist deplorables

Really?

Administrative Note: Will be out of pocket as Raj is having some minor surgery which still somehow requires most of the day.

It’s a Wonderful Life in Non-PC-Ville

its-a-wonderful-life-political-correctness-political-poster-12922385811

It seems like only yesterday we were discussing the release of Hibaj Barbie just in time for Christmas. Her arrival has caught the attention of others as well, including James Robbins in USA Today who writes that the doll is not exclusively targeted at Muslim parents – which is good because they’re not a reliable source of Christmas revenue.

One obvious market for the doll is the liberal, non-Muslim parent who wants to make a statement to the world about tolerance and intersectionality.

This is the kind of person who dresses a baby boy in pink to trap the unwary into an uncomfortable/sanctimonious discussion about gender roles. These parents will have a special glow of virtue about them in the checkout line. In fact, they will make a special effort to go to the mall instead of ordering online so they can chat up the patient checkout person about the social importance of their purchase.

While that strikes me as a little snarky for USA Today, it does leave one to ponder who this new Hijab Barbie really was created for, Muslim girls or non-racist, inclusive SJW parents. If it’s the later, won’t the purchase turn them into cultural appropriators? Being multi-culturally sensitive isn’t as easy as it looks.

But the one thing we do know, if there is a market, Mattel will satiate it. As Rick Moran reminds us, they have been pandering to special interests groups and virtue signalers since before we even knew what that meant.

The first black Barbie appeared in 1968, although it wasn't until 1980 that Mattel marketed a black Barbie to black parents.  Strangely, the 1968 version had black features, while the 1980 version looked just like white Barbie but with chocolate skin.

What’s next?

What will Mattel think of next?  The obvious choice is "Tranny Barbie" for all those gender-confused five-year-old kids.  Such a doll will almost certainly be "anatomically correct," or how would you be able to tell the difference from the original?

Euuu! If the thought of finding that under your Christmas tree doesn’t drive even the fiercest culture warrior screaming for the first exit to non-PC-Ville there’s no hope.
