Fake News, Fake ID - Insuring Voter Fraud

This is getting confusing: was it fake news that caused Hillary to lose, or was it real news dispersed by  Russian hackers? They’re not mutually exclusive of course. The story that Russian hackers tried to help Trump win may itself be fake news - started by the New York Times and ended by the Washington Post, two of our best fake news sites.

I understand Barry’s going to launch an investigation of election hacking which is somewhat akin to closing the proverbial barn door after the horse got out.

wikileaks

Some people apparently think hacking critical U.S. agencies and the White House is less concerning than gaining access to Democratic operatives’ (without bylines) emails.

russian hackers

Back in the day, investigative journalists were actually real journalists doing real investigations:

media outlets vs journalists vs wikileaks

If they still were we wouldn’t need the likes of Gucifer to uncover what actually transpired in Benghazi.

hillary hacked emails gucifer

And to blame Russia for something any teenaged hacker might have accomplished during the first half hour of study hall seems a tad silly.

The hackers sent John Podesta an official-looking email on Saturday, March 19, that appeared to come from Google. It warned that someone in Ukraine had obtained Podesta’s personal Gmail password and tried unsuccessfully to log in, and it directed him to a website where he should “change your password immediately.”

Podesta’s chief of staff, Sara Latham, forwarded the email to the operations help desk of Clinton’s campaign, where staffer Charles Delavan in Brooklyn, New York, wrote back 25 minutes later, “This is a legitimate email. John needs to change his password immediately.”

But the email was not authentic.

Pretty clever, those Russians. Pretty stupid, those Democrats.

And speaking of stupid politicians, here’s the latest from stupid Jill Stein’s stupid recount challenge:

The Michigan Supreme Court on Friday denied Green Party candidate Jill Stein’s appeal to restart a partially completed presidential election recount, meaning President-elect Donald Trump’s 10,704-vote victory over Democrat Hillary Clinton stands. – Detroit News

So it is over. And as an added bonus Michigan looks like it’s poised to implement a voter photo ID law. About time.

Michigan’s Republican-led House on Wednesday night approved a strict voter identification proposal over strenuous objections from Democrats who argued the plan could disenfranchise properly registered voters.

So remember, only you can prevent voter fraud.

And then they can use their Obamacare enrollment in order to get a ballot.

The Chickens Have Come Home To Roost

Here’s a pattern you can expect to see more of in the future:

  • Donald Trump says something.
  • Media/Democrats decry his comment as a) untrue b) indiscreet c) unpresidential d) all of the above
  • Facts reveal The Donald is correct

Current example, this tweet:

1612080040-Donald-Trump-Vs-Boeing-To-Cancel-Alleged-4B_thumb[8]

Maybe the PEOTUS reads foreign newspapers like the Daily Mail, who ran this yesterday:

Trump was RIGHT about Air Force One: Pentagon budget documents show Boeing program is slated to cost more than $4.2 billion

  • The Pentagon program that will replace the pair of aging 'Air Force One' planes is already slated to cost $4.265 billion through the year 2021, according to federal budget and procurement documents obtained by DailyMail.com

Apparently these documents are available to the foreign press butt not the domestic MSM who immediately responded to the Tweet with “We found that Trump’s description of the contract lacks some context.” They seem far more concerned with “fake” news – yours and mine butt not theirs – than in the real story of a presidential jet program bearing a $4 billion price tag.

Hillary agrees:

Hillary Clinton on Thursday decried the spread of fake news online, calling it an “epidemic” that Congress should take action against.

“The epidemic of malicious fake news and false propaganda that flooded social media over the past year — it’s now clear the so-called fake news can have real-world consequences,” Clinton said during a speech on Capitol Hill. The Hill

accountability-savage-chickens-402x220Savage Chickens by Doug Savage

So there you have it, something both sides of the aisle can agree on: malicious fake news is a bad thing. Although I don’t think that “malicious fake news” means what you think it means.

In related news we find out that sometimes fake news is actually better than the real thing:

Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe said Thursday his family's pet chicken named Hillary died right before the election.

McAuliffe, a Democrat and a top Clinton ally, was asked about his four chickens in an interview with the Atlantic.

"I hate to say this, one chicken died," he said. "About a month before the election, Hillary died."

In this case the “fake news” is simply metaphorical.

As one astute commenter noted: The Chickens Have Come Home To Roost.

MAGA: A Better Idea

Remember that time Gary Johnson didn’t know what Aleppo was? Turns out he wasn’t alone.

At one time Barry didn’t know Aleppo from Alpo either; presumably before they crossed that hard to identify red line:

"The ability of ISIL to not just mass inside of Syria, but then to initiate major land offensives that took Mosul, for example, that was not on my intelligence radar screen," Obama told Zakaria, using the administration's term for the Islamic State terror group. – CNN

Possibly this oversight was due to his habit of skipping the daily intelligence briefings. Or maybe it’s because he ignored his General’s warning not to withdraw troops from Iraq and fired anyone who warned him about the rise of  ISIS (aka ISIL to Obama).

I know you all remember Marie Harf; former State Department SPOX.

barbie harfTalking points Barbie, Marie Harf edition

Remember when she told us that ISIS was just like you and me; that all they really wanted was a good job?

“We cannot kill our way out of this war. We need in the medium to longer term to go after the root causes that leads people to join these groups, whether it’s lack of opportunity for jobs…”

They probably want an end to the Republicans’ War on Women too.

christian-women-sex-slaves-iraq[3]

Marie was also the first one who informed us that ISIS had nothing to do with any religion:

Thursday at the daily briefing, State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf declined to acknowledge ISIS’ declaration of war with the Untied States of America.

When a reporter said,”The reality is ISIS has announced it’s in a war against America,” adding, “Right or wrong that is what they are saying.”

Harf replied, “Well they can say whatever they like. But what I am making clear that is not what ISIS represents and they don’t represent any religion. They are at war with everyone they come in contact with.” – Breitbart

O/T butt I still love the Freudian slip in the original Breitbart article from August 2014: “the Untied States of America.” Seems to support the position Mr. Trump took with  Matt Lauer on yesterday’s Today Show:

time-poy-cover-trump-today-161206_cbe454aa529a192dd0e276627cd43f31.today-inline-large

"When you say divided states of America, I didn't divide them. They're divided now. I think putting divided is snarky, but again, it's divided. I'm not president yet. So I didn't do anything to divide."

Anyway, back on topic; I’m just thinking that if Barry had listened to his generals instead of his State Department Barbies he might have known what a threat the JV team actually was.

Obama-Syria“Syria, Syria…oh right! That place in the Middle East where we’re arming the ‘moderate’ jihadis!”

All I can say is thank goodness we elected Trump. Now we no longer need to rely exclusively on Putin to put together a strategy for fighting ISIS (or ISIL, as Barry still likes to call them.)

(In August 2014) Big Guy admitted we didn’t have a plan to defeat ISIS/L. Then in February we rolled out the Harf plan of “Jobs for Jihadis” to defeat ISIS. Apparently that didn’t work out so Big Guy was forced to admit last month that  “we don't have a complete strategy yet.”

Since then Barry determined that we don’t actually need a strategy after all since “ideologies are not defeated with guns, they are defeated by better ideas.” So now we’re working on better ideas.MOTUS

I’m pleased to announce we finally came up with one – a better idea that is:

Words, Just Words

As we are all excruciatingly aware, the Left is always guilty of whatever they accuse others of. Take that War on Women for example: they own it.

Check out their reaction to Kellyanne’s tweet from the “Heroes and Villains” costume party where she donned a Superwoman suit with a wink towards her role in The Donald’s victory - something few on either side of the fight thought anyone could pull off.

superwoman kellyann

Talk about poor losers; the misogyny, not to mention the vitriol, directed at the girl that beat their man-beater is epic. I can’t print most of them, butt here’s one of the milder ones, with strategically placed asterisks to protect me from being deemed a fake news site:

@KellyannePolls u ugly f***ing *unt

Short, to the point, and seething with hatred. You can count on the Left to always, always, always, tell you exactly who they are; they just can’t help it.

Take fake news for example; they are the ones who reinvented the name (original attribution to Nietzsche) which they sanctimoniously slapped on many Rightwing news and blog sites. Unfortunately for them, and us, they also reinvented the concept:

Who is it that created this “post-truth” climate? Once again, it was liberalism. And just how vigorously has the mainstream media ever stood against this nihilist undertow? That would be zip, zilch, nada.

In fact, many trace the roots of America’s modern “fake news” to CBS and their then anchor:

To the contrary, speaking of “fake news,” I recall a certain prominent journalist—I’d rather not repeat his name—who trafficked in a wholly fake news story about a president, and whose forged documents were defended as “fake, but accurate.” So the media doesn’t have a lot of standing to complain about “fake news” just now, let alone a “post-truth” world they helped create.

And while the Left as a whole created this morass, Leftwing comedian Stephen Colbert gave it a name:

truthiness colbert

Strident political assertions based on tiny traces of facts: "truthiness."

If ever there were a time the Left wished it could eat their words this would be the time:

The Washington Post’s Ruth Marcus, for example, is losing her mind over this state of affairs:

Oxford Dictionaries last month selected post-truth — “relating to or denoting circumstances in which objective facts are less influential in shaping public opinion than appeals to emotion and personal belief” — as the international word of the year, and for good reason.

The practice of post-truth — untrue assertion piled on untrue assertion — helped get Donald Trump to the White House. The more untruths he told, the more supporters rewarded him for, as they saw it, telling it like it is.

As Steven Haywood points out, far more eloquently, what goes around comes around:

But like the time an independent counsel was used against a Democrat, liberals hate it when their doctrines are used against them.

Wait till they have to deal with Harry Reid’s nuclear option.

You’ll want to read Haywood’s entire column.

Stop Crying Or I’ll Give You Something To Cry About

Of Mice and Men. Whoops, sorry – microaggresion! “Of mice and non-gender specific humanoids.” Today’s post is dedicated to the mice, aka Special Snowflakes.

orson_welles_obamacare_pajamasboy_12-20-13-2

Let’s start with 49ers Quarterback Colin-take-a-knee-for-our-national-anthem-Kaepernick: oddly enough this special snowflake seems unable to play in the snow. He was benched in the 4th quarter Sunday as the snow came down in Chicago and he had managed to complete only 1 of 5 with four yards passing.

Next, the snowflakes demanding their colleges be made “sanctuary campuses” for illegal aliens. George Washington University was one of the first to make this demand.

“The university must re-channel its resources and money to its fundamental requirement: to protect its students,” the demand letter reads, reported The College Fix.

Oddly enough the university’s previous fundamental requirement was to educate students butt apparently that is no longer possible so we turn to “protection” and Social Justice instead. $70,000/year seems a bit pricey butt what do I know?

Furthermore, George Washington University must provide a “place of sanctuary” for Muslim students and illegal immigrants, including by financing legal assistance for undocumented students and their families.

You may be interested to know that some of their students are willing to extend this fervor for breaking the law to other areas as well such as making the campus a sanctuary from underage drinking laws and parking laws/tickets. Oh, and also they’d appreciate sanctuary from final exams this term as they grapple with the election of somebody they don’t like.

Note the stu-dent at the .43 mark who opines “We should be protected from outside people coming in, you know, like we would want protection from some stranger coming in and knocking on our door. immigration should have to go through those same rules.” To prevent this site from being declared “fake new” I want to point out that despite what her words may imply she is actually in favor of campus sanctuary for illegals. You could be excused for assuming otherwise, butt I assure you she really is; such is the logic of college educated progressives.

And while we’re still on campus, some American University (another elite campus located in D.C.) wants to fire one of their trustees for meeting with the PEOTUS:

Gary Cohn, President of Goldman Sachs, serves as the chair of the Board’s Finance and Investment Committee. He is reportedly under consideration for Energy Secretary under the Trump administration, and met with the president-elect on November 28.

AU’s Community Action and Social Justice Coalition student group promptly responded by organizing a “Dump Trump. Fire Cohn” demonstration the very next afternoon, arguing that anyone willing to have a one-on-one conversation with Trump should not be eligible to vote on matters that are important to progressive students. - Campus Reform

It has been suggested that these snowflakes might wish to look into tuition and residency requirements for completing their educations elsewhere, someplace where their feelings will be taken more seriously: Pyongyang University, Universidad de La Habana, the University of Karachi or the University of Tehran come to mind.

Elsewhere, snowflakes are also offended that a new TV show portrays them as, well, snowflakes.

A millennial member of a focus group has angrily objected to the contents of a television programme because it portrayed millennials as coddled, easily offended and thin-skinned. The feedback for CBS’ new comedy series The Great Indoors was recounted by its executive producer Mike Gibbons at a Television Critics Association panel this week and, in further vindication, outraged a millennial member of the press.

I would add that snowflakes don’t seem very self-aware.

I wonder if the SnowFlakeGeneration’s (SFG’s) parents ever told them, like ours did, to stop crying or they’d give them something to cry about.

Trigger Warning! We’re All White Supremacists Now

Racist ToasterWhite Privilege From People's Cube

If we didn’t vote for Obama we were racists.

If we didn’t think Michelle Obama was a fashion icon it was because we were racists.

If we objected to Obamacare, excuse me - the “Affordable Care Act” - we were racists. (even though we were right: Record-High Health Care Spending Hits $3.2 Trillion in 2015.)

racist-obamacare

If we objected to opening the borders to let illegal immigrants flood in to overrun our schools, our welfare system, our health care system, drive without insurance, live in the shadows and otherwise drain the treasury we were racists.

illegal-immigration-illegal-aliens-political-poster-1274837362

When we objected to Muslims flooding in the same way, we were called racists.

battle of tours france muslims vs racist islamophobes

And now the Left is surprised that being called racist has lost its sting? As we have all noticed, and Professor McWhorter pointed out, these “serious allegations” against the Deplorables had to be escalated to something even more deplorable: “white supremacism.”

“‘White supremacist’ is a new way of saying ‘racist’ while stepping around the steadily increasing awareness that that word, too, is being wielded in sloppy ways,” McWhorter explains. “Writing ‘white supremacist’ is a way of making the reader jump, in the way that ‘prejudiced’ and ‘racist’ once were.”

So embrace it: “racist,” “alt-right,” “white supremacist,”  - all interchangeable, all here to stay until such time as they fail to work. And I think that time is fast approaching.

the-real-racists

A small caution for the Progs; you keep pitching, we’ll keep swinging. Don’t be surprised it we smack one out of the park from time to time. And one of them could be the game-winning run.

A Weekly Review of the Whacky Left

I’ve been collecting these for a week or so, the only connection is they are all generated by various branches of the whacky left.

From the Green Belt:

1. Green Party switches strategy in Pennsylvania recount

Hours after a Green Party-backed campaign dropped its case in state courts they announce a change to their strategy to force a statewide recount of Pennsylvania's Nov. 8 presidential election, won by Republican Donald Trump, and said late Saturday night that it will seek help in the federal courts, rather than the state courts.

To say George Soros is a sore loser is an understatement. He will take this to Hell and back in an attempt to get the verdict he’s looking for.

2. Liberals Mock Victims of Wildfire in Tennessee Because They Voted for Trump

Hating on victims because they a) voted for Trump b) are global warming deniers c) are Christian and d) enjoy “white privilege.”

tennessee tweets fire

What is it with Leftists’ preoccupation with fire anyway?

“People Get Angry and They Burn Things”Whoopie Goldberg

161110111858-03-trump-protests-1110-restricted-super-169Protesters in LA unhappy with the election results turn to fire for a little stress relief.

From the Campus Belt:

1. Student Sues University After Accruing $224K in Debt But Getting No Degree

This woman was trying to get her doctorate in education. Six years later, she still doesn’t have a degree and is drowning in debt. How does this happen?

A doctorate in Education? At any point did it occur to her that this was a waste of money? She should have enrolled in Trump University instead; she might have learned how to negotiate a settlement of that debt.

2. Ohio State Knife Attacker Abdul Artan Was Taking a Class About Microaggressions

Before he was shot dead while attempting to murder a bunch of people with a car and a butcher's knife, Ohio State University student Abdul Artan—a Somali-born Pakistani immigrant who reportedly became radicalized after learning about injustices committed against fellow Muslims—was enrolled in a class called "Crossing Identity Boundaries."

In fact, he had a group project on "microaggressions" due later this week. The assignment, worth 15 percent of his grade, required students to find a dozen examples of microaggressions on social media and explain which identity groups were the victims, according to the syllabus.

When are we going to stop teaching hate?

3. Toronto university Muslim groups block passage of motion to hold Holocaust Education Week

“It’s a systemic issue … (on) many university campuses across Canada … Universities are funded by taxpayer dollars and there needs to be some accountability at the government level.”

In (again): Anti-Semitism. Out: Islamophobia. Any other questions?

From the LGBTQ Belt.

1. Chip And Joanna Gaines’ Church Is Firmly Against Same-Sex Marriage

Chip and Joanna Gaines’ series Fixer Upper is one of the most popular shows on HGTV…they were the subject of a long profile in Texas Monthly that credited them with revitalizing the city of Waco, Texas, where the show is set and where their businesses are located…The couple are riding a wave of success, largely due to their charm and appeal…They have built a small empire, and they are not done yet. They have a huge retail space in Waco, as well as a new magazine, the Magnolia Journal; they have a real estate company; Joanna has a paint line and a home decor line. Season 4 of Fixer Upper begins Nov. 29.

And they are devout Christians so they must be taken down.

Their church, Antioch Community Church, is a nondenominational, evangelical, mission-based megachurch. And their pastor, Jimmy Seibert, who described the Gaineses as “dear friends” in a recent video, takes a hard line against same-sex marriage and promotes converting LGBT people into being straight.

So are the Gaineses against same-sex marriage?

Unfortunately for BuzzFeed they must not have gotten the memo about Trump winning. This death-by inuendo tactic doesn’t work quite as easily as it did BT (Before Trump™).

The BuzzFeed News report sparked a firestorm of criticism from Christians who argued that people who oppose same-sex marriage and LGBT rights are persecuted by the media. A Lutheran pastor published a piece in The Federalist under the headline, “BuzzFeed Wants To Destroy Chip And Joanna Gaines For Being Christian And Wildly Popular.” The Washington Post published an opinion piece calling it a “non-story.” And Megyn Kelly’s show The Kelly File featured a discussion of the story, with Fox News’ Dana Perino concluding it had “backfired” on BuzzFeed.

2. Related story: Nation Shocked, Horrified As Christians Hold Christian Position (h/t Instapundit)

“We’re not saying people can’t be Christians,” a Seattle woman said in a Facebook comment. “This is a free country, after all. But when Christians decide to actually have Christian beliefs about things—I’m sorry, that’s just too far.”

Christianity remains the only religion in America officially sanctioned for persecution. With a new sheriff in town you can expect that to change.

“The word Christmas: I love Christmas,” he said. “I love Christmas. You go to stores now, you don’t see the word Christmas. It says, ‘Happy holidays’ all over. I say, ‘Where’s Christmas?’ I tell my wife, ‘Don’t go to those stores.’ “

“I want to see Christmas — no, I want to see Christmas,” he said to applause.

“And you know, other people can have their holidays … but Christmas is Christmas,” he said. “[Remember] the expression ‘Merry Christmas?’ You don’t see it anymore. You’re [going to] see it if I get elected, I can tell you right now. I can tell you right now.” – Washington Times
