We Are On Correct Path Comrades 8.0

Lots more government lockdowns coming your way, just in time for Christmas! For your own good of course. But don’t worry, your government overlords are working overtime on the really important things. Like cannabis.

The House on Friday passed a comprehensive reform bill ending federal prohibitions on marijuana in a historic vote that marks the next significant step forward in the growing movement to legalize cannabis in the U.S.. The Marijuana Opportunity Reinvestment and Expungement (MORE) Act decriminalizes marijuana at the federal level and would remove marijuana from the list of federally controlled substances and expunge federal convictions for non-violent marijuana offenses.

Democrats claim this will reduce racial inequities in drug arrests but what it will actually do is reduce the number of people who actually give a crap about what our overlords are up to.

Effects of Weed on the Brain: Short-Term and Long-Term Impacts

Is it just me or is this not a large part of the ultimate Marxist dream?

You know, like going out to eat, to a movie, bowling, working out at the gym.

The government controlling everything: shutting down what they deem to be “unessential” businesses that serve to do nothing but give you a bit of pleasure, but on the other hand doling out all the cannabis you want to keep your brain potted and your actions compliant.

And if your government overlords let you have pot, and a handout to buy it with, who needs church services anyway?

If you want to see the progressive Democrats’ complete roadmap  by all means read Karl Marx’s works. It’s all in there. Or if you only have time for the Cliff Notes version, this pretty much sums it up:

Will Underdog Arrive In Time To Save The Day?

A follow up regarding yesterday’s post: from Ace of Spades, Democrats’ Constant Violation of Their Own Lockdown Orders Becomes So Obnoxious That Even CNN Is Forced to Report On It.

I honestly expected the cootie hysterics to abate after the election. Yes COVID is still here, yes the most vulnerable need to take extra precautions until such time as a safe vaccine is available. But, especially since they believe Biden won, I thought the autocratic lockdowns and illegal closures would end because the Dems wouldn’t want to continue to destroy their own states’ economies. I was clearly wrong; either they don’t actually believe Biden won (they do) or they’ve already become addicted to the power and control they’ve been able to exert. As Sarah Hoyt put it:

But hey, it’s served to kill most of the world economies, and now they get to impose all sorts of crazy, arbitrary stuff on us because “there are people in need, you monster.”

In the meantime, another week has passed, 4 now since the election, and still nothing. No “irrefutable evidence”  has emerged that is acceptable to the Media/Deep State cabal. No indictments. No seizures. Where is the Quacken of which we keep hearing?

Alas, I love a good David and Goliath fight as much as anyone.

That’s A Big Boot For Such A Little Dick Of A Man

“When laws do not apply to those who write them people are not being governed, they are being ruled.” - Clay County Illinois Judge Michael McHaney

Take for example the overreaching mandates issued by governors, mayors, and petty local dictators such as city council members or even county bureaucrats like health directors, elected by absolutely no one. They issue their illegal edicts requiring masks, closing businesses, restricting private holiday celebrations, jerking restaurant owners around and ruining their employees lives by issuing indoor/outdoor dining bans at will. Yet if they feel like celebrating a birthday/anniversary they continue to wine and dine out opulently, in whatever sized group they wish. They enjoy their Thanksgiving with friends and family without fear of repercussion.

San Francisco Mayor London Breed dined at a posh Napa Valley restaurant the day after California's governor was there. San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo went to his parents' house for Thanksgiving. And a Los Angeles County supervisor dined outdoors just hours after voting to ban outdoor dining there. – Star Herald

When caught they apologize – for what? Being a hypocrite? Acting as an overlord? No, for using “bad judgement.” If it’s that bad that ought not be imposing it on the rest of us.

Neither the allusion,

nor the arrogant imperialism of it all has escaped the notice of the little people.

George Orwell warned us over 65 years ago about the evils of corporatism, socialism, authoritarianism, totalitarianism. That we continue to ignore that warning remains to me one of life’s great mysteries.

We Need A Little Christmas

Halloween is well behind us, Thanksgiving nothing more than a gravy spotted memory. It’s December 2 and Christmas is but 23 days away, whether you intend to do any shopping or not.

We have no idea what will happen next in the electoral drama we’ve all been unwittingly cast as extras in. History feels as though it’s out of our hands at this point. For these and many other reasons I feel we all need a little Christmas.  So…

Post your Christmas themed pics, thoughts or comments. And you’ll be forgiven if they contain a somewhat secular message this year as we live in interesting times.

Time To Slay A Dragon

“The point of tyranny is not to genuinely convince you it’s true, it’s to ram the lie down your throat and make you live with it.” - Mark Steyn, in for Rush yesterday

How many times over the past week, month…decade have you asked yourself “how on earth did we get here?” Perhaps this little story from 2018 will help explain:

A new poll shows that only a little over a third of Americans would pass a basic multiple  choice [ed. they can’t even guess at the right answer] U.S. citizenship test, modeled after the one taken by immigrants in the process of naturalization.

The survey, released Oct. 3 by the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation with the research firm Lincoln Park Strategies, sampled 1,000 American adults. It showed that only 36 percent actually passed the test.

The survey asks about everything from important dates to historical figures and current events. Only 13 percent knew when the U.S. Constitution was written — Sept. 17, 1787 — and 24 percent of respondents knew what Benjamin Franklin was known for (hint: it wasn’t inventing the light bulb).

More than half (60 percent) of those surveyed did not know which countries the U.S. fought against in World War II. Fifty-seven percent didn’t know how many justices are on the Supreme Court, despite recent media coverage. (Nine, including newly confirmed Brett Kavanaugh.)

“With voters heading to the polls next month, an informed and engaged citizenry is essential,” said Arthur Levine, president of the Woodrow Wilson Foundation, in a news release.

Although an informed and engaged citizenry is apparently not half as essential as Dominion voting machines that run the ballots through foreign servers using algorithms and trucks arriving in the middle of the night with freshly minted ballots.

“Unfortunately, this study found the average American to be woefully uninformed regarding America’s history and incapable of passing the U.S. Citizenship Test.”

For the former I blame the media

who took it upon themselves to re-write history in their own ideological image in order to brainwash subsequent generations of Americans into believing that there isn’t now and never has been anything even close to American exceptionalism.

Which Wolf Will You Feed: Choose Wisely

Image result for good wolf vs bad wolf | Wolf quotes, American quotes, Two wolves

Democracy is like that too, with corporate media providing the wolf’s fodder

An independent press that facilitates free and fair elections and shines a spotlight on corruption has long been considered the 4th estate, an essential leg of democracy. But America’s free-to-lie-and-suppress-the-truth-media makes a mockery of the term “independent press.”  When the media has clearly and demonstrably abandoned truth in pursuit of an agenda they have advanced well beyond being Fake News and are deeply embedded in the 5th Column known as the Deep State. They serve to undermine our election as well as our duly elected President and his administration.

It is not an understatement to say that to let the results of this sham election stand - to allow the media to assist the Deep State and their multitudinous arms pull this off - is the end of democracy as we’ve known it.

Best Christmas Adverts Sunday

It’s the weekend between Black Friday and Cyber Monday. That means it’s time for my annual “Best Christmas Adverts” Sunday.

The last few seasons we’ve enjoyed the antics of the Heathrow Bears but they were retired last year in a move that now seems prescient as air travel has been pretty much locked down along with thousands of other everyday things thanks to the Wuhan Murder Virus. Thanks China, you godless, amoral tyrants.

In my search for a worthy candidate for this year’s tribute I’ve sadly concluded that Madison Avenue has lost its way; Americans just aren’t that good at Christmas ads anymore, possibly because the ad agencies are now pretty much run by woke, humorless Millennials. The last TV Christmas ads I can even remember were the 1970s Norelco shavers and the 90s series of Coke truck trains:

They revived the campaign in 2019 but frankly, it sucked.

So this year’s selection is from the French Bouygues Telecom company. It’s actually their 2018 ad but like all classics, it’s timeless.  Enjoy.

“Come and get your love”
