In The Silence Are The Answers

I’m so old that I remember when this was the Left’s mantra:

Why White Silence on Racism Is Deadly | Elle CanadaWay last summer as I recall

I guess the use-by date on that has expired.

The News Cabal continues to keep the lid on the Hunter Biden laptop/email story. If they refer to it at all – and to date most have not -  it is to call it a Rightwing dirty trick.

The contents of what was purportedly Hunter’s laptop were first provided to the New York Post last week by Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani. A computer repair store owner claimed the laptop was left at his store, but questions have been raised about whether that story is accurate and whether all the information allegedly on the laptop is authentic.

But since then, two disgruntled former business partners of Hunter — Bevan Cooney and Tony Bobulinski — have provided their own emails and texts about Hunter to pro-Trump journalists or GOP politicians. These emails and texts have been quickly tweeted out or published by these outlets (notably Breitbart News, Fox News, the Daily Caller, the Federalist, and the Wall Street Journal editorial page), usually spun in inflammatory ways with a minimum of skeptical or contextual reporting…

All this is part of an effort by the Trump campaign to argue that Joe Biden is corruptly tied to his son’s questionable business dealings with overseas interests. And they’ve complained that the mainstream media is trying to ignore or suppress this story.

Vox goes on to deny the veracity of the report without any proof of their own, relying primarily on the fact that the information was released to – shockingly – right-wing outlets:

These emails and texts from Hunter have deliberately been given to staunchly pro-Trump reporters and media outlets unlikely to be skeptical, to question whether they truly prove what their handlers claim, or to publicize data points that don’t fit the Trump campaign’s preferred message.

However, the information contained in the emails is available to all, and the fact that most of the other major news outlet have failed to even mentioned them might explain why it was given to “stanchly pro-Trump reporters and media outlets.”

Ironically contained in the Vox article itself is the solution.

Actual investigative reporters would put in the time to ascertain, to the best of their ability, what actually happened here. But this is much more akin to an opposition research dump — so it’s just been put out there by conservative journalists with little context or supplementary information, to help Trump make it part of his final campaign push.

Again I ask: where are our Woodward and Bernsteins?

wgate-21OK boys, let’s roll.

Oh, right: this time they’re part of the cover-up. That’s the way we roll these days.

In The Silence Are The Answers…

“There's this old line the wise folks in Washington have that ‘it's not the crime, but the cover-up.’ But only fools believe that. It's always about the crime. The whole point of the cover-up is that a full revelation of the underlying crime is not survivable.” - Josh Marshall

“I Don’t Make Money From China, You Do.”

Last night’s debate was certainly not as difficult to watch as the first one. Still, I’m awarding the win to Joey B’s official resuscitation team, seen here celebrating after successfully reviving the former Vice President from his Zombie-like state:

Their job was to get the patient on his feet, walking, talking and acting like he used to. The neurological team didn’t have much to work with so we got the reanimated Joe talking just like the original good old Joe. Thus we get classical gaffes like his contention that  “we had a good relationship with Hitler before he invaded Europe” (for the record, uh, no). And his trademark “I’ll have things both way” tactic on fracking – he was against it before he was for it – culminating in his nod to AOC’s  Green New Deal assertion that he’ll eliminate the fossil fuel industry altogether.

As for President Trump, his patience with the moderator’s immoderate questions and interruptions along with his opponent’s lies about everything from the Obama-Biden administration record to the Russian disinformation excuse for Hunter’s laptop is reason enough to reelect him.

I just wish that every time Joe Biden tossed out one of his fallback, pandering “first responders” and “this is about your family” comments President Trump would have nailed him by reminding him where his own party stood on this. It’s the Democrats that want to defund the police. It’s the Democrats who want to flood the country with foreign labor. It’s the Democrats who want to eliminate high paying oil patch jobs. It’s the Democrats who want to send even more jobs to China. It’s the Democrats who want to replace your private healthcare insurance with “single source government healthcare.”

And it’s the Democrats who want to keep the economy shutdown and you in lockdown indefinitely due to the CHINESE virus.

Why on earth is this man not 50 points ahead?

Biden Past Reveals Biden Present

Root, Root, Root For The Home Team? : NPR

I found this National Review story shocking: A Bizarre and Revealing Biden Interview.  It’s from 1974 and covers many topics including his dead wife:

“She had the best body of any woman I ever saw. She looks better than a Playboy bunny, doesn’t she?”

His Presidential aspirations while still a first term senator:

“I know I can be a good President.” Neilia, he said, would have been an asset with respect to this: “I know I could have easily made the White House with Neilia.”

Money:

“I am worth a lot more than my salary of $42,500 ( $249,000 in today’s dollars) a year in this body.”

Roe v. Wade:

“I don’t like the Supreme Court decision on abortion…I don’t think that a woman has the sole right to say what should happen to her body.”

It also discusses how beholden Joe Biden is to “wealthy businessmen” and MBNA (Bank of America) for his wealth.

“The acquisition of his waterfront property a decade ago involved wealthy businessmen and campaign supporters, some of them bankers with an interest in legislation before the Senate, who bought his old house for top dollar, sold him four acres at cost and lent him $500,000 to build his new home.” He sold the house he had bought in 1975 for top dollar to — get this — the vice-chairman of MBNA, who gave Biden $1.2 million for it.”

Mind you, none of this is surprising. The real shock of this story is that National Review has decided to root for the home team for a change.

Albeit reluctantly.

But at least they aren’t actively rooting for the away team anymore. So buckle up buttercup, it’s going to be a bumpy ride tonight.

Sense, Not Sensibilities

Bait and Switch, Selling and Telling the Truth - Unlock The Game

This is my current operating assumption of the Democrat plan. The DNC – whoever that is these days – has known about Hunter and Joe Biden’s corruption all along. Joe knowns they know so never mind China, the Democrats own him as well. He had no choice but to do their bidding and run as ‘Good Old Joe.’ They promise to keep the story squelched, protect him from prosecution and he promises to run as their straw everyman and get easily elected along with Kamala, his totally malleable sidekick.

Once this happens they implement their own Watergate style investigation. They create their own Deep Throat, leak the info, initiate the impeachment hearings and force their guy – just like Nixon – to resign just short of impeachment “for the good of the nation” and Kamala steps into the presidency.

Only a blind computer shop owner in Delaware screwed everything up. None of this was supposed to get out until after Joe won. Thus the current Democrat’s disinformation campaign blaming a Russian disinformation campaign for this mess right before their guy wins by “52 points.” What a mess.

You must admit, it makes as much sense as anything else.

Break. Them. Up.

Glenn Greenwald holds every liberal bona fide available to a journalist. But that’s not enough for his colleagues since he still lets principles get in the way of ideology; principles such as a reverence for the First Amendment.

“to me, it's a heroic attribute to be so committed to a principle that you apply it not when it's easy…not when it supports your position, not when it protects people you like, but when it defends and protects people that you hate.”

So it should shock nobody that he was on Tucker Carlson last night eviscerating the Big Media/Big Tech complex that is burying the Hunter Biden/Joe Biden influence pedaling story exposed on Hunter’s abandoned laptop.

What will it take to breakup this log jam?

Those Who Are With Us…

You won’t be able to ask Joe Biden any questions about Hunter’s computer/quid pro quo/Ukraine/China this week. That’s because he’s holed up underground again, preparing to also not answer any questions at the Thursday debate about Hunter’s computer/quid pro quo/Ukraine/China.

“This week is mostly about debate prep. He will not be seen again after today until Thursday night in Nashville at that next debate. So they’re going to keep him focused on that.”

Right, because he needs time to prep for all the tough questions he’s likely to get from his little moderator friend about AOC’s Green New Deal solution to all the troubles in the world.

Former NBC White House correspondent - and debate moderator - Kristen Welker with Obamas:

If you are foolish enough to ask any of your Leftie friends or family (if you still have any speaking to you) about the damning information on Hunter Biden’s computer odds are good they will either a) not have a clue what you were talking about, or b) tell you it’s another example of Trump’s collusion with the “Russian disinformation” campaign – as if that even makes sense.

The elitist cabal has drawn the wagons firmly around their candidate-in-waiting and they are not about to let a few inconvenient facts get in the way of taking their power back. And yes, I believe they are willing to stop at nothing. But here is what I also believe:

“We Don’t Need No Thought Control”

“We don’t need no education”

Thought Control Can Switch Genes • Latest News in the Business and Financial World

We just need a little better thought control.

Remember when you thought our government overlords were the biggest problem? At least they, theoretically, can be voted or - worst case – thrown out.

THROW THE BUMS OUT!!! A Suggestion Worthy of your Consideration! | Hurricane Alley... by J. D. LongstreetBy any means possible

As it turns out it’s even harder to depose the entrenched social media tyrants imposing their own limitations on freedom of speech. We’re all well aware of the tyrannical practices of Twitter and Facebook, the biggest and most egregious of the social media behemoths. But even second tier sites like Yelp, the social media crowd sourcing platform, serves to erode our liberty via it’s own form of woke censure.

A New Consumer Alert to Stand Against Racism

“Communities have always turned to Yelp in reaction to current events at the local level. As the nation reckons with issues of systemic racism, we’ve seen in the last few months that there is a clear need to warn consumers about businesses associated with egregious, racially-charged actions to help people make more informed spending decisions.”

I suppose it’s hard to be opposed to a “stand against racism” – except that Yelp’s bold anti-racist “stand”  holds the potential to ruin businesses. Based on what? “Problematic behavior” reported via “crowd sourcing?” That sounds highly reliable, what could go wrong?

And now here’s an interesting twist in Big Tech’s media control: following the backlash over Twitter’s censoring of the New York Post article regarding Hunter Biden’s nefarious affairs in Ukraine and China the tech giant changed its “policy.” It’s even worse now:

We will label Tweets to provide context instead of blocking links from being shared on Twitter” This is actually more sinister than their previous approach—censorship. At least that was obvious.

No, they will no longer block. Now, like Yelp, they’ll instead get into the business of interpreting. They will become prosecutor, judge and jury and you will be the benefactor of their enlightened decisions.

This is, in essence, thought control.

Pink Floyd The Wall Trailer

You, the great unwashed, are not capable of analyzing for yourself. You need guidance—the same guidance they provided when publishing ad infinitum obvious disinformation about non-existent Trump-Russia collusion or propaganda from Javad Zarif, foreign minister of a country whose citizens are not allowed access to the internet but just happens to have 1.5 million Twitter followers.

It seems odd to us older Americans who’ve been around the block a few times that “investigative journalists” who were once dying to find the next set of Watergate burglars now have absolutely zero interest in Hillary’s secret server, the players behind the Steele dossier Russian hoax, Crossfire Hurricane or the Biden connection to the Ukrainian deal. You know, the “deal” that served to launch the impeachment of an American President. And apparently they likewise have not interest in pursuing whether Joe Biden’s family “business” dealings with China might have serious national security concerns should the man become president. Indeed, they’re not even interested in Joe’s medical records which might explain Joe’s apparent lake of stamina, muddled thinking and endless word salad ramblings while on the “trail.”
