“Dance me through the panic till I'm gathered safely in”

Happy Veterans Day to all who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces. And happy Veterans Day to all of us too who have benefited from the incredible sacrifices our veterans have made over the centuries in order to make the world safe for democracy. Even these idiots, exercising their right of self expression last night as they, protest the duly-elected President of the United States of America.

As I’ve pointed out before, irony is completely lost on the brainwashed members of the collective. Fortunately for us - and the snowflakes above – current and previous generations of men and women were able to carry on in the face of adversity without requiring safe spaces and grief counseling.

And while the face of freedom’s enemy may morph over time, it never goes away. Which is why we’ll always need people on the wall, willing to do whatever’s necessary to keep the malignancy at bay; and  it is why today we honor those who’ve responded to that call.

And I’m happy that we will shortly have another Commander-in-Chief who understands, appreciates and respects our fighting forces and veterans.

I’m certain the incoming POTUS and FLOTUS will honor our military more along the lines of a President Reagan presidency…

than an Obama presidency.

Let’s all try to find our own unique way to honor our courageous veteran’s today. It need not be flashy.

"You and I have a rendezvous with destiny. We will preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on earth, or we will sentence them to take the first step into a thousand years of darkness. If we fail, at least let our children and our children's children say of us we justified our brief moment here. We did all that could be done." – Ronald Reagan

FOOTNOTE: R.I.P. Leonard Cohen. This is still my favorite of all his marvelous songs.

Dance me to your beauty with a burning violin
Dance me through the panic till I'm gathered safely in
Touch me with your naked hand or touch me with your glove
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the end of love
