Coffee: Is There Anything It Can’t Do?

A bit of good news as we kick off 2022.

coffee transport me there

It turns out coffee is your friend. And it is very good for you, as first outlined in this report from 2017:

A meta-analysis of 127 studies conducted in 2017 revealed that daily drinking two to four 8-ounce cups of coffee decreases risk of cancer by 20 percent, Type 2 diabetes by 30 percent, and Parkinson's by 30 percent. Furthermore, a  huge study in the UK found that those who drink a LOT of coffee live longer than those who don't.

Wow, that’s high praise; you would think that would be enough to convince tea-totalers to switch it up and enjoy a delicious cup of Joe a couple times a day. But wait! There’s more: in 2021 scientists found three new advantages to drinking coffee:

1. Drinking Coffee Reduces Risk of Liver Disease

2. Drinking Coffee Reduces Risk of Heart Failure

3. Drinking Coffee Reduces Risk of Alzheimer's

Why, you’d have to be a fool to pass up the opportunity to delight your senses, brighten your day and expand your lifespan.

And now your life enhancing caffeine need not be racist. You can get the same health benefits from your covfefe regardless of which politically correct shade and hue you prefer.
