Cometh the Hour, Cometh the Man

I can understand people being wary of Donald Trump in 2016. When I’m feeling generous I even forgive them for voting against him because at that point he was an unproved equation. Plus, despite what we thought at the time, the Left had not yet revealed their full depth of veniality. Nor had they fully revealed the danger associated with their absolute hatred for the founding principles of America.

But now, now here comes a man reviled solely because he stood in the way of their power to control us. A man who has survived every piece of crap his enemies have hurled at him since the moment he announced his candidacy. He’s endured four years of ceaseless “grassroots” protests, political and personal attacks by a highly partisan and weaponized media, two coups engineered by political enemies embedded within his own government, impeachment and non-stop, orchestrated public “RESIST everything Trump” rallies beginning the day after the election and continuing to this day; progressing from peaceful Pink Pussy Hat marches through “mostly peaceful” BLM and ANTIFA riots. Nevertheless he persisted.

So OK, the President is a flawed man. If that were the standard no human would ever be elected to anything and we’d still all be either savages or serfs. That Donald Trump does not look or sound like your ideal leader is precisely what makes him the man of the hour. On this great planet, in this great country, in this time…choices must be made. Often that choice comes down to choosing between shades of gray but this time, this election, is a choice between light and darkness. Choose the light, it is the hour.

To every man there comes in his lifetime that special moment when he is figuratively tapped on the shoulder and offered a chance to do a very special thing, unique to him and fitted to his talents. What a tragedy if that moment finds him unprepared or unqualified for that which would be his finest hour.  - Winston S. Churchill
