Party On!

OMG!

A desiWhy does this look like a mug shot?

I can’t believe it! Desiree is deserting us! Or at least that’s the official story.

I knew Big Guy was going to be in a foul mood after that business yesterday with the Republicans making him look like a petulant professor, but I never dreamed that Desiree was the one who’d take the brunt of it (my money was on little Bo). I certainly hope that my allusion to her complicity in last September’s Medals of Honor embarrassment in my previous post didn’t have anything to do with it. After all, I wasn’t telling anything that wasn’t common knowledge around Big White: Desiree is a pinhead.

But it sounds like she’s happy with what she’s done here. As she told Lynn Sweet at the Chicago Sun-Times, she’s hosted 330 parties since she arrived, and her work is done (way to go, Desi!). She said she has accomplished her job of making the Big White the “People’s” Big White – if by “People’s” you mean friends and supporters (philosophically, spiritually and monetarily) of the O’s, and  little black children who provide adorable photo ops.

Dear Desi told Lynn that she thought “this is a good time for me to explore opportunities in the corporate world." Hey babe. I’ve got news for you: this is definitely NOT a good time to explore ANYTHING in the corporate world. It’s been flat lining for, coincidently, just about exactly the same amount of time you’ve been “opening up the White House to make it the ‘peoples house” and planning parties. So good luck with that. I’d suggest you call Andy Stern, the unions are about the only people who have a positive cash flow these days. Or maybe Blackwater, because of your unusual security background.

So good luck. And don’t let the door hit you on the way out.

Linked by Fausta – Thanks!

  1. Nothing to worry about. Look at our dear friend Van Jones - doing well and in a public view.
Maybe Desi just prepoares for NAACP award next year.
Besides, there still are some corporations that party, those who got real nice gov contracts without doing any biddings. Why not to party?
I believe in Desi, she will make her imprit on corporate world.

  2. She WILL be missed. How many Prissies can you find for even a family job? I was looking forward for more of "I don't know nothin' 'bout (fill in the blank), Miz MO." mmm, mmm, mmm.

I do believe though it was the crown that did it for Big (Racist) MO. She's very protective of The Dear Reader's in-home attire.

  3. Her comment about what she's done for Big White reminds me of Miz Nicey at the end of "Clean House": "Our work here is done." I hope Prissy doesn't try any funny bizness with Miz Nicey though...that girl is not to be messed with when it comes to a profile job. It would, however, be a job she could do...one of the crew, cleaning house.

  5. She was brought on board to replace the previous Social Secretary (White woman who worked for L. Bush). She seemed to be the perfect choice for the O's; a Chicagoan, a party hostess of some repute, fashionable and one who travelled in high circles. Her claim of planning 330 events is suspect, she was there less than a year. Maybe MO got tired of having to host one bunch of wide-eyed children after another and never getting into the 'real' news. MO has already indicated that she's 'willing' to suspend her 'work' on the fat-kid project to campaign for Democrats running for re-election. Methinks Desiree and Aunt Valerie have conspired to keep MO in the background, out of the real politics and to marginalize her influence with BO. Believe it or not, I've read that some folks think Desiree was 'forced' out because of the media and the racism of White people.

  6. Hold On! The White House is. not. campaigning. Not for 2010. Not for 2012. Didn't The Dear Reader just say yesterday that "The campaign's over, JOHN"? I do believe though that Big (Racist) MO would suspend the Fat Czar thingie for any excuse. I'm also sure that she can't wait to add some "heft" (as if she needed any of THAT!) to her political image.

  7. What you may or may not know:
-the New Orleans Mardi Gras floats are built and "floated" by Krewes which are private social organizations. Belonging to a Krewe is a very big deal in NO.

-Desiree was Queen of the Zulu Krewe 2 times (very, very big deal). Her father is/was a very, very prominent member of this Krewe.

-This month the Zulu Krewe was given a check by outgoing Mayor Ray Nagin to rebuild/spiff-up their clubhouse. This is our chit-chat point: rebuild/spiff-up their clubhouse.

-Mayor Nagin (of Katrina fame)said the check was from some kind of City of New Orleans grant thingy. (I'm sure you know that NOLA is awash with surplus money, what with the crime rate being 0, and the schools are to die for.)

-The amount of the check from a "City of New Orleans grant" to rebuild the Zulu Krewe's, a private organization, clubhouse you ask?

    -$800,000. Eight-hundred thousand dollars.

-Now where ever did the City of New Orleans find that money?

  8. Dear Anonymous,
may I ask you, please, what exactly is "private socialist organization"?
In my previous life in the Soviet Union, which was ideal socialist country, there were no "private" organizations, only socialist. There was no even private property.
    I am really confused.

  9. Look again, vereteno...

The other Anonymous wrote "private social organization".

And that business about City of New Orleans money going to a Krewe is very interesting indeed.

  10. Yes, Anonymous with signature Lulu, you are right. It's my previous life on overdrive, add '-ist' to every 'social'. And it was Friday, I believe...

  11. Vereteno,

"In my previous life in the Soviet Union, which was ideal socialist country, there were no "private" organizations, only socialist."

"ist" or no "ist", I'm awarding this round to you.
