You’ll Miss Me When I’m Gone

What is this? The Wons leave town for a well deserved vacation, and all of a sudden it’s declared open season?

Check out the following exhibits, and let me know if you don’t smell another vast right-wing conspiracy.

From the NY Post, exhibit 1:

By contrast, Obama is a displaced person adopted by the far cruder Chicago machine, which turned his superficial charm and his palpable animus against the American ideal into a winning combination in the perfect storm 2008 election.

osavior

Bathed in the light of…the cameras, as it turns out

and exhibit 2:

“More important, it's unclear that Obama has it in him to compromise and pretend to like it. No one could fake sincerity like Clinton, but Obama is a far different sort of political animal. His tax-deal press conference was a remarkable glimpse behind the Wizard of Oz curtain

look behind the curtain copy

at a scowling man who believes his political opponents are "hostage-takers" and enemies -- not just of the people, but of him personally.”

 obamas-secret-message-for-f

op.cit exhibit 3:

“Still, unless Obama undergoes a vast personal metamorphosis,

aint no flies on me Get this damn fly off me!

it probably won't work. He's too inexperienced a politician and too starchy a man. He himself has said he'd rather be a good one-term president than a failed two-term president, but the way things are going, he may end up having it both ways, minus the ‘good.’"

Bo has left the buildingBig Guy has left the building

Even Lady M seems to have been caught in the cross hairs. Our very own pollster is piling on. Look how he treated Lady M in his Gallup Poll Most admired Man and Woman: (h/t pwitter)

  1. Hillary Clinton
  2. Sarah Palin
  3. Oprah Winfrey
  4. Michelle Obama
  5. Condoleeza Rice

Lady M came in 4th!!!! Behind Hillary!!? Sarah!!!? and Oprah!!!!!  Well OK, maybe I can see Hillary and Oprah, butt really: does anyone think that skinny Sarah is big enough for anyone to stand behind, let alone Lady M?

and just ahead of Condoleezza? Condoleezza????????

You can not be serious! Not even the same league!

And even our European fan club seems to be waning a bit.

"Barack Obama was the biggest loser of 2010. He allowed the angry Tea Party movement to grow powerful, he did not pass any decent laws despite his majority in Congress and he was aloof, elitist and indecisive. He had to accept a formidable, yet entirely understandable, defeat in the midterm elections as a result. No one expected much from Obama, at least not during the rest of this year."

bos bccdI’ve only got this much left

Ditto the Asian chapter of the fan club: (h/t Michelle Independent)

“Even the Bush Administration’s harshest critics could never have credibly claimed that George W. Bush was irrelevant. He might have been hated, pilloried and shouted about– but he couldn’t be ignored. However Obama can be safely ignored. Invited to parties, given the chance to show off his cosmopolitan sophisticated by reciting one or two words in the local lingo, read off a teleprompter, along with some cant about the need for everyone to pull together and make the world a better place, and then dismissed for the rest of the evening.”

kim yook-ok Just allow me get you posed properly, Mr. President

“As a world leader, he makes a passable party guest. He has a broad smile, brings along his own gifts and is famous in the way that celebrities, rather than prime ministers and presidents are famous. On an invitation list, he is more Bono than Sarkozy, Leonardo DiCaprio not Putin. You don’t invite him to talk turkey, not even on Thanksgiving. He’s just one of those famous people with a passing interest in politics who gets good media attention, but who has nothing worthwhile to say.”

HOLY CRAP!  I think they’re on to us now, Batman.

  2. MOTUS, legions of us are going to try really hard to send the O's back to Chicago/Hawaii permantly so that you may then reflect a classy, intelligent and well-groomed FirstDude.

  3. One of my left-leaning friends posted on his Facebook page about Obama calling the owner of the Philadelphia Eagles to congratulate him on giving Michael Vick another chance. Someone commented that they couldn't believe what the "Obama-haters" were "turning this into."

Oh sure, he's done his time and paid back his debt to society, who cares about all those dead dogs brutalized for the sake of entertainment? Really, what is there to turn into anything about this? Mountain out of a molehill, really.

It's interesting seeing how the left twists themselves into knots over this.

  4. Firstly (that is a word, I say so!) let me congratulate you dear MOTUS for the fabulousity (that IS a word too!) of winning the honor of Top 50 Blogs.  You not only rock (in a safety glass way) you shine!!!  Like a beacon reflecting back to all us 'little' people,
Well done!!!  And much, much continued success (and super duper shininess) in 2011!!!

Now...with many relatives and offspring having returned to their own bunker like fortresses ('they don't build them like that any mo...') might I say my 'contrariness' is giving way to 'clairvoyance' becuz my senses are telling me 'something' big is up our Dear Leader.

Been following this on Free Republic, but it seems that Hawaii's new Gov, Abercrombie (where is Fitch?) has 'decided' with NO White Hut prompting (this guy should write for the Daily Show) to address those mean old birthers (MOBs in MOTUS lingo? Count me as won!) ONE LAST TIME.

Ouch.  So either the HI Department of Vital Stats (and Tattoo Parlor) found an old IBM Selectric to churn out the 'original' (wink, wink) form OR...some nefarious type (an Assange clone?) is ready to 'drop' the dirt (after three long years).

Couple that with Chrissy Matthews requesting (in the mostest polite terms) for Duh Won to release the long form, it makes me wonder...what is about to be released???  Fun times ahead no doubt...

  5. Noelle, when I saw the headline that Obama had done this, I saw praying so hard that it was a spoof by The Onion.  Every day with M and O seems this way, like it cannot be real, must be a very long nightmare...  He continues to disgrace the office.  Why on earth would the leader of the free world stoop to comment on a football player????  Guess he's pandering to the dwindling black base.

  6. Where were these shiteheads and their insight BEFORE the election?

  7. I couldn't believe that Lou Dobbs felt that Vick should be allowed to own a dog before the period of his probabtion ends. Vick said he wanted a dog and then said it was mostly for his kids who are asking for one. Right there we have an interesting blurring of the truth.

Dobbs said that he'd paid his debt to society, etc. My feeling is -- why should a man who viciously tortured an animal ever be allowed to have one in his power again?

This is the problem with the "paid his debt" view of crime when we are talking about pathology that continues. No one could have done what Vick did without enjoying it in some way.

I think Daddy Michael should explain to his kids why he can't get them a dog -- that would be a good addition to his time in jail.

  8. Meanwhile, Iraqi Christians are pleading with Obama to intervene on their behalf. Wonder if that will fly right under his radar.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Once again it is a question of judgement -why should the President insert himself into this situation?

    ReplyDelete
  10. Margaret, I could not help some snark when I read the posts. Someone had commented that it wasn't as though making this phone call made Obama the antichrist, determined to destroy America. I commented that no, there was already plenty of evidence to support this before the Michael Vick phonecall came along...

  11. Hilarious, Motus!  Made me laugh out loud.

  12. Brilliant post MOTUS-  The hits just keep coming.  You deserve many awards.

  13. What amazes me, is that Barky took the time from his busy, busy schedrule...to chat up the Iggles' owner.  Like he was lounging around the ole' Hawaiian beachfront cabana...and was all 'so what, the dollar is crashing; the Ruskies are laughing their arses off over START; and even Chrissikins is doubting my official origins...what to do?'  'I know...get me the Philly Eagles owner on the line...Michael Vick's been covernng the spread and I'm cleaning up in my Fantasy League.'

  14. Very insightful post!! You have wicked fingers; the Top 50 is indeed well-deserved, congratulations dear MOTUS!

Butt, don't let anybody in the WH find your special hidey-hole posting closet; we would miss you!

    ReplyDelete
  15. Also, pleading with Obama to intervene is the Lakin family.  Lt. Col. Lakin lost his pension and is in jail because Obama would not show his birth certificate.  Iran citizens, military personnel, these are not Obamas priorities.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Why didn't BOO talk about Vick last year? Oh, because last year Vick wasn't doing well.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Huh? How does that work?

    ReplyDelete
  18. <span>A POTUS takes time from all the problems of the world, ignoring calls from Iraqi Christians about to meet a fate worse than Vick's dogs, ...(not to mention the daily ice cream stop) to comment about a stupid football player and felon?  This would not have happened if Vick had been white.  He's a racist SOB and he continues to find new ways to demean the office to which he was selected.

Upon hearing this story last night, Tallulah said:  "Woof, Woof, WOOFFFF...(translated)...Michael Vick should never be allowed on the same block with another of my kind.  He carrys the aura of all the dead animals he was instrumental in slaughering.  He is not worthy.  He's filth."  Then in a final comment of outrage, she added:  "Impeach Obama and his ginormous wife too!"</span>

    ReplyDelete
  19. Well, that's milder than what another of my (more sensible) friends said: that Vick ought to be fed alive to starving dogs. Karma and all that.

  23. I have to say again, MOTUS, your award is soooo deserved.

Thanks for keeping us informed about the LSM rubbing the sleep from their squinty eyes, shaking their tossled little heads and pulling up the shades to see a little sliver of light.  How cynical must one be to participate in this cover-up on purpose?  Bastards.

  32. Leslie - real, strong American women marry real, strong American men.  I wonder what Michelle Bachman's husband is like.  She in another gorgeous, tough, conserv lady the MSM love to bash - second only to Sarah.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Did someone mention previously that b.o. was wearing more make-up than Moo?  Is he being 'made-up' to look like a ghoul on purpose?  So that he can step down to 'spend more time with the family' due to health reasons...'Boo-Hoo, poor me?'

    ReplyDelete
  34. Noelle - this is where the lefts get into trouble.  They have all these conflicting special interests.  In this case AFAMs versus PETA.  They attack Palin but are hush on the treatment of Muslim women.  It really is comical.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Mad and all - what's very strange to me is this whole issue.  When, ever, have we questioned the citizenship of a potential or existing president?  And, unpredented is his unwillingness to turn over all docs and the media's compliance? I know people were done with the Repub party and I was no fan of McAmnesty - but how did this guy slip into the most prestigous (used to be) job in the world?  America - we've been punked!

    ReplyDelete
  36. Oddly enough, I remember a great deal of screaming from the left when Arnold Schwarzenegger became the Governator of Kahleefornia. They claimed he was just setting the stage for an eventual Presidential run, for which he would of course be ineligible. Where are those people now? **crickets chirping**

    ReplyDelete
  37. CCG, one of my leftist friends claims this is just racism on the birthers' part, because no other President has ever been subjected to such scrutiny. I pointed out to her that no other President's eligibility has ever been in question, and that he could have put an end to this long ago instead of continuing the obfuscation.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Plus, every other president and even candidate for president has had a history.  I remember some of Hillary's elementary teachers being showcased, GWB had fellow "cheerleaders" from Yale, etc.  We even (eventually) saw John Kerry's grades.  With Obama everything is a mystery.  Just occasional photos and his own anecdotal stories.  It seems odd that he would admit to drug use, but refuse to give out any other information.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Vick tortured many dogs including family pets and electrocuted many of the injured and slow dogs.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Oh but Carol Lee at Politico says Obama's Letting His Faith Show:

Obama has publicly mentioned his “Christian faith” more times in the past three months than he has over the past year. He has more frequently cited passages of the Bible, including repeated references to Genesis 4:9 — “I am my brother’s keeper; I am my sister’s keeper” — which was a mainstay of Obama’s 2010 campaign stump speech.<span>

    </span>http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1210/46841.html

Of course, it's totally beside the point to note that Genesis 4:9 is actually Cain's attempt to cover up his brother's murder:
Then the LORD said to Cain, “Where is your brother Abel?” “I don’t know,” he replied. “Am I my brother’s keeper?”
That sort of faith doesn't lend itself to standing up with or for Iraqi Christians. Or any other Christians, for that matter.

  41. Noelle - Bingo!  And it is not just one document - it is his entire "nonexistent" life except for the playdown/play stupid of Rev. Wrong and the other ties to questionable characters.

  43. A few years ago I drove along the Rock River in Illinois where Ronald Reagan was a lifeguard for five summers.  It was beautiful even in winter, but even moreso I'm sure in the summers of the 1920s when Reagan worked at Lowell Park, rescuing 77 swimmers.  You can also see where he grew up on Hennepin Ave. in Dixon, Ill., and where he went to school and church.  That is how it is supposed to be.

  44. From the Winter Holiday White House:

<span>The president and his family are on a snorkeling trip in Hamauma Bay Nature Reserve, and traveling press are under “explicit instructions that there will be no long lenses or other sneaky attempts to take pictures,” according to a pool report</span>

This Reserve is closed Tuesdays, so this guarantees no photos...

The LSM are spinning it as  a desire to prevent any pics of the Prez shirtless -- but who believes that?  I think we know who they don't want us to see "shirtless".

Your work was cut out for you today, MOTUS, as she was trying on bathing suits....

    How do I look?

Er....great....omigod...we're going to have to go to DEFCON4!

No photos...no tourists...no press...confiscate all cellphones...no helicopters...even then, only the strong will survive...

  46. There are so many interesting comments here, one overriding theme is that Obie's  'base' will forgive anything, including consorting with animal torturers and killers.. As I think about the base, it is a strange amalgam of professional, literate folks who should know better, gangbangers, welfare queens, and ordinary hardworking types who wouldn't be caught dead with some of the above. The common denominator seems to be Race.. Either race apologists, race baiters, or outright racists ...too many sub categories to count.
This base has nothing else in common. So my quetion is, if these people can move and vote as one for the shallowest of reasons, why can't they move as one on the critical issues that are destroying their families and communities?  I mean the One is a passing roadshow, here today, gone tomorrow, the other issue is deep, sad, and dangerous, not to mention destructive..
There is Solidarity that moves mountains {Poland eg.} and solidarity that is frivolous.. Why choose the one that produces nothing ?

  47. I admire Michele, too.  She and her husband own a small business, have 5 children and have been foster parents to 23 children--I'd say that makes them both great people!

  48. I can't remember where I read the comment regarding the reason wy b.o. will not reveal his birth certificate.  It was said that perhaps it was because on the certificate there is a section where the birth took place has to be filled out.  It was suggested that although b.o. may have been born in Hawaii but also in the back of a police cruiser.  Kinda makes sense knowing the background of Stanley.

  51. I think what propels them besides group identity is hatred of all things Republican. My sister was visiting me in Western Mass during the Bush years. She lives near Boston and told her friend that I was a Republican. Her friend was aghast and said what is she stupid? That is typical of the left.

  57. Why isn't any hospital in Hawaii bragging about being his birthplace? And why can't I remove my last name from my posts? When I view my profile, it only says "Noelle" as my nickname. But when I post, well, there's the last name too. Sigh.

    ReplyDelete

  60. So the Left is also rude ?  When I was a Demo, I was not rude about it..Being married to a Repub. for 30 yrs, before my 'awakening', rudeness would have been kind of un-romantic.. My father grew up in Boston, I still have family there, but they are nice.

  61. MOO and BOO went swimming today in a national park. No photos and no long range shots allowed. Everyone said it was because they didn't want to show BOO shirtless again. Butt:

  63. Granny,  My immediate thought was, if I were Michelle, I would not want to be photographed in a bikini either.  Then it occurred to me that (1) maybe BO doesn't want to be photographed dog-paddling, or (2) the Feds don't want anyone to report the inevitable oil slick that will be spotted in the Pacific when Michelle enters the water.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Pretend that it's not your real name -- !? It's weird that you can't get your screen name to be what you want.

I have always felt the absence of a hospital claiming to be his birthplace, neighbors who remember when little Buh-ROCK was brought home, friends who organized the baby shower, etc., is more indicative of his not being born in Hawaii than anything.

    ReplyDelete
  65. I thought they wanted him to be seen shirtless a year or two ago -- perhaps no comparisons wanted? And, of course, seeing the first Pear Butt Lady is probably not desireable either.

  66. They can't work together on an issue of substance because their union is shallow. Give them five minutes discussion on anything except the awesomness of BO&MO and the race card will be flying and people sending out a mesage, etc. There is no way to address a modern social issue such as fat kids or drugs or welfare dynasty families without criticizing someone. The upper class people won't do that and the black racists won't allow it.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Yes.  That is how it is supposed to be.  So well put.

And it makes me start thinking:  We are being primed (even by people on the right) to accept just anybody as President.  As if it is not our right to know any of the history of a potential president.

I guess that way, we will more easily accept whoever they (whoever they are) choose for us, and will learn that their personal history is none of our business - just like how the country is run, or whether the Constitution is adhered to, etc. - is supposedly none of our business, either.

It fits in with the treatment of the tea partiers, demeaned and ridiculed as stupid racist dangerous people who had no right to demand answers - to anything.  Or even any right to speak up.

This is the same thing - divide us from our government, and make it clear that we have no right to any answers, and dare we even ask the questions, we will be smeared for doing so.

(And this includes by some people on the right.  Which does not increase my faith in government.)

It is only with this president that I have come to understand that the government considers me an enemy of the people.  I understood that well before Obama actually started openly using the word "enemy," along with "hostage-takers" and other words to describe anyone who opposes any aspect of his rule.

It is a high cone of <span>profiteroles</span> (<span>choux</span> filled with <span>pastry cream</span>) sometimes dipped in chocolate bound with <span>caramel</span>, and usually decorated with threads of caramel, sugared almonds, chocolate, flowers, or ribbons."

  84. Heh. That reminds me of the famous statue of George Washington, the one where he's dressed like a Greek god and nude from the waist up. It's considered a work of art now and is housed in the Smithsonian, but when it came out it was considered highly inappropriate, even obscene.

  85. Sophie, in Texas there is a big story going on right now about how the NAACP and LULAC have got their knickers in a bind concerning minority performance in schools. They claim that ingrained bias written into the textbooks (!!) purposefully gives minority children a skewed view of themselves and their role in society, and that minorities are disciplined more and not fairly treated in the classroom. Under-representation of minorities in gifted and talented programs. And more such nonsense.

They are skipping right over the Texas Board of Education and going straight to the Feds to fix this. The thing is that they seem absolutely unwilling to ask themselves if any blame might be placed on cultures that value thuggishness, rudeness, having kids out of wedlock, and doing whatever you want over manners, following rules, two-parents homes, and placing emphasis on education.

  86. Yes, and how about drug use, violence, gangs...  I remember Bill Cosby coming out that blacks should be responsible, and he got reamed.

  87. He would quote Scripture (and misuse it) that could be interpreted as divine license to get all up in our business.
