Our Most Populist President Ever

bo barnJust like you guys, I spread it around every day too!

I’m not sure we’re going to get to the bottom of the TOTUS hacking incident. Personally, I think TOTUS was just messing with Big Guy because he was getting bored. After all, he’s been stuck scrolling the same populist stump speech for both Big Guy and Lady M –  churning out class warfare rhetoric to thunderous applause, for weeks on end now. It’s getting a little stale.

I want this to be a big, bold, generous country where everybody gets a fair shot, everybody is doing their fair share, everybody is playing by the same set of rules.

bo trumka remember gwb and angela merkle, at least she was a womanOn the Peoples’ Farm all animals are equal, butt some are more equal than others

Of course TOTUS does do a little customizing, depending on the special interests of the group on deck: that’s known as target marketing.

Do we want to keep these tax cuts for folks like me who don’t need them?

Or do we want to invest in the things that will help us in the long term – like (fill in the blank…)

For example, with our Hispanic fans, we talk about immigration reform,

goya national strategic partner for USDA My Plae or Mi PlatoMi plato es su plato

for business groups – less red tape,

bo business senseHi! I’m from the government, and I’m here to help.

for the Greenies, clean energy -

bo clean energyYay! Natural Gas! Butt no fracking! Or pipelines. Otherwise, go ahead.

and for students – we offer more grants, aid and cheaper tuition.

2012-01-27T155526Z_01_WHT06_RTRIDSP_3_OBAMAButt you’re on your own when it comes to finding a job

Butt then, towards the end of the student stump speech at the University of Michigan last week we added a new twist:

But we also understand that we’re not successful just by ourselves. We’re successful because somebody started the University of Michigan. (Applause.)

We’re successful because somebody made an investment in all the federal research labs that created the Internet.[H/T: Al Gore] We’re successful because we have an outstanding military -- that costs money.

We’re successful because somebody built roads and bridges and laid broadband lines. And these things didn’t just happen on their own.

That meme - “nobody does it on their own”  - sounds familiar; where have I heard that before, only with better grammar and syntax? Oh yes, last September from one of Big Guy’s surrogates running for the Senate: Elizabeth “there’s nobody in this country who got rich on his own” Warren.

warren aptCzarina Elizabeth Warren with Big Guy and Turbo Timmy

"You built a factory out there? Good for you. But I want to be clear: you moved your goods to market on the roads the rest of us paid for; you hired workers the rest of us paid to educate; you were safe in your factory because of police forces and fire forces that the rest of us paid for. You didn't have to worry that marauding bands would come and seize everything at your factory, and hire someone to protect against this, because of the work the rest of us did."

While there’s a point in there somewhere, I’m not sure she’s right about the factory owners  not having to worry about marauding bands coming to seize everything they have:

spreading the wealth around One way to spread the wealth around: Occupy a jewelry store!

Apparently some of the OWIES have taken the call to class warfare seriously, and have decided to take matters into their own hands:

Screenshot Studio capture #366The Occupy Oakland crowd, last night, taking it to the streets

And since class warfare has been officially declared, we’re sending all of our surrogates out to spread the message. Here’s Valarie “people didn’t get wealthy alone” Jarrett taking up the mantra last Wednesday with Reverend Al:

Screenshot Studio capture #364

They know that people didn't get wealthy alone. They got wealthy because they live in a country that where a government is doing what it's supposed to do. Educates our children, it provides infrastructure, roads and bridges. It provides the research dollars for science and technology.

To demonstrate, let’s explore how Val  became wealthy, because I assure you she didn’t do it “alone.” First, she had the help of Chicago Mayor Harold Washington when she worked for him, which landed her in the office of the even more powerful Mayor Richard Daley. As you know, life isn’t an even playing field. Nobody, especially nobody of color, can WTF without special connections, arrangements, strings, cords and opportunities. And Valerie Jarrett used all of the above to  collect earn her way into the 1% club so she could help others get there too.

And just as her high powered contacts landed her high paying jobs and seats on powerful state and corporate boards, she used her contacts to help many others. For example, she returned the favors she was shown by using her acquired power to help other deserving little people. Like the partners in Rezmar, Tony Rezko and Dan Mahru who – until they got rich with the help of Val and others in the Daley machine administration – were just a couple of the 99%-ers selling snacks on the city’s beaches. With proper “help” however, they were able to turn into wealthy “developers” by renovating and managing slums low income housing projects for the city of Chicago. And all they needed to be a little more equal than others was a little help!

In true pay it forward fashion, Tony Rezko helped many others get more equal too. In fact, he came to be known in Chicago as a political “fixer.” Which means roughly “helping others get wealthy.”

the_clintons_with_tony_rezkoTony, Bill and Hill: the “helping others get rich” meme has been around for a long time.

Most notably, Tony – who was just another guy in the neighborhood – is known for “helping” BO and MO buy a nicer house then they could afford, thus making them a little wealthier. That’s just the way it works.  I’m sure everybody already knows all about this, because it was covered extensively when Big Guy was running for president. Right?

Tony, of course, is now serving 10+  years in the federal hoosegow on felony charges. Something about “using his connections to state boards to demand kickbacks.” I’m pretty sure Val didn’t have anything to do with those “connections to state boards” because she’s not been charged with anything. And she’s smarter than Tony.

Tony deserves to be in jail for his crimes, Not only did he break the “helping'” chain, he violated the first rule of people whose wealth came about as a result of other peoples “help.” He got caught.

rezkoThis effectively takes Tony out of the “helping” others get rich quick pool for awhile

And now his former partner, Dan Mahru, has been disbarred for defrauding his own mother. The charges are for embezzling the trust set up to provide for her long term care. So it’s all probably a big misunderstanding.  What kind of a person would do a thing like that? Although, he may have thought she would have no use for the fund, now that Obamacare will be taking care of her.

the case for killing granny

As far as Elizabeth goes, I don’t know who helped her get into the 1% club. All I know is that she is a member, and membership has its privileges. She came from humble beginnings – as most wealthy Democrats seem to – and is now living in a $5 million house and holds a stock portfolio worth nearly $8 million. Since she and her husband have both been college professors I guess it’s possible they just earned it – without anybody’s help. Although that seems to undermine her argument a bit.

So maybe this is the new American Story: from pulling yourself up by your bootstraps to whining about America’s power and strength.

So does this mean that Tony and ValJer are  double-secret-trapdoormen for all those secret, hiddn, trap doors MO keeps telling us about?

  9. "We have now sunk to a depth at which restatement of the obvious is the first duty of intelligent men & WOMEN'  - George Orwell.

To sum up quickly and briefly as possible my seething anger at the statements of Obama and Val Jar, concerning 'somebody' (aka Government) building infrastructure, roads, bridges, and financing research, etc. Let me point out the obvious in their stupidity. That 'somebody' are the workers and tax-payers of the private sector here in America. Government has no authority except by the People, they exist by will of the People to provide those things which we, as a People, have formed them to do, such as roads and bridges. All government research is research financed by the People. They would do well to remember that the 'somebodies' have the duty to dismantle and re-establish the government when it has become destructive or, in the case of Obama and Val, far removed and incompetent, corrupt and brainless. They are, in essence, condemning the somebodies that are the same 'somebodies' that make the government and hence O and Val's miserable existence and so-called 'authority' possible.

The fact that this truth escapes them is pitiful. The fact that they would be applauded and affirmed in their ignorance and lies is deplorable. Let us see how 'creative' the 'somebody' government is when the Nation goes John Galt. The 'smartest man in the room' knows as much about economics and the role of government as a two-year old (no offense to two-year olds.)

This latest pathetic 'speech' would could have just as well been given by any passionate teenager who hasn't lived long enough to know not to be ruled by the heart and the Statist theology of 'social justice', although it is a step up for him, because what usually comes out when he goes off script is this; "I want an economy..where we're making stuff and selling stuff and moving it around..and UPS drivers are dropping things off everywhere."

    Off-topic- an example of the "Let's make excuse for the inevitable race-riots sure to occur when the pretender-in-chief loses". It's because of you whites;

Also, roads, bridges (and firemen and teachers) are built by states. Not the federal government. A business using Texas roads and bridges has Texas taxpayers to thank - and they him for needing a road and a bridge, giving them jobs and means to also start and move a business - not California, Louisianna, Oregon or Vermont taxpayers.

  18. Childish thinking. "You're successful at the University of Michigan because someone started the University of Michigan." Well, if there was no University of Michigan, I guess I'd be successful someplace else or in some other way. Was the U of M built with taxpayers' money? If not, what does it have to do with The One's need to constantly increase the debt?

I feel as if these Obamatrons have seized a small handbook of phrases related to values such as self-reliance and regurgitated them in a way to link them to the opposite. So I can be personally successful because other people built me a platform for my success? Because the world wasn't a blank page when I was born?

  28. This is just flat out class warfare and it will continue until everyone believes they are suffering because of the rich.  People need to be reminded of the 47% who pay no taxes.  They also need to be told just how much everything has gone up in price - those pesky little things not included in the CPI like gas and food.  The price of meat in my local store has almost tripled - and they say its going to go up even higher. Gas is near $4.00 a gallon here.  Some rich people paying more in taxes will not solve these problems.

  32. Agree, Anonna, I don't get it either. If you're unsuccessful at U of M is that because someone started U of M too? If you have your law license revoked..(ahem)...Michelle? Is that because somebody created law and law schools? The irony of the Marxist-in -chief's statements is that there is a philosophy, which I believe is true, that the advance of mankind comes from standing on the shoulders of others, inventions and discoveries yield more inventions and discoveries, as the discovery of the nature of electricity leads to the invention of the lighbulb and so on. (Gee, think of all of the advances of mankind before Washington, DC came along...how'd that happen?) But what puzzles me about the left's philosophy is that while they may mouth these sentiments, they certainly don't show they believe it. They believe they are wiser and smarter than every generation that has gone before and so, by that imagined virtue, are entitled to reshape and 'transform' conventional wisdom and society. They somehow believe they are the bottom of a new and wonderful 'pyramid'. But a pyramid that only they can stand in, that government must administer and that shall never rise above the height of themselves. They believe, in matters of government, that they are too special and intelligent to stand on the shoulders of our Founding Fathers. And although they see the misery that has spread in other countries that arose from their same beliefs, they believe they are so much smarter that, this time, they will pull it off. Or maybe not, maybe they know misery will follow, but imagine they will be isolated as an elite Party 'leadership'.

In other words and either way, I hate them.

  38. Again ANT, you’ve nailed it. You can go two ways with arrogance: one, aloof detachment because you assume that all the machinations you’ve set in motion are unlikely to effect you and yours. Or two, you have a god-complex and really believe - all historical evidence to the contrary – that human nature can be changed and you and yours are the WONs to do it.

Transformational therefore becomes remade in MY image and likeness. And if you don't get on board with my transformed image of the world, well, no shore leave until morale improves.

As you point out, either way, we the people lose. They must be swept out of the Big White and halls of Congress need to be purged of the heretics from both partyies who think the coffers exist for their personal use and gain.

There is a war and Isreal and all the Jews are crushed and obliterated. With Barry opening doors for the Islamists - especially bringing about the prediction of a united Arab world throwing off foriegn yokes, I'm wonidering if his god complex does not include either being the mahdi himself, or an instrument of Allah. While he might not be a fully participating muslim, he still grew up listening to the beliefs of the cult.

  74. Another thought:  Looking at the pictures of windows being broken, and stores set on fire, I was definitely reminded of Kristallnacht.  Looks like the current regime is following Mr. Adolf's rulebook pretty well, eh?

  75. Aging is the pitts - I hate what it does to us.  I have to say though, her current longer hair does nothing for her.  She needs a shorter 'do cut around her face.

  76. Oh my Lord. Mind bleach please....

The comments under that article are as much fun as here!

  77. Please, stop.  This puts a picture in my head I never wanted to see.   I think I need a G&T quick.

  78. Oh, her arm pits in the picture! I don't care how 'toned' her arms are, she should NOT go sleeveless.

  79. "<span>Could there be any image more incongruent than Obama and a big red barn?"</span>

Absolutely not. On the other hand, could there be any image more appropriate than 0bama and a big pile of the stuff that was always on the FLOOR of the barn after Savage Dad milked the cow?!

$50,000... and Barry still prefers Reggie.

<span>I agree.  The comments are worth reading.  Some that are worthy of posting on this site:</span>
    <span></span>
<span>~ I hear she was buying them for hubby to wear.</span>
<span>~ Apparently dropping 50k on lingerie makes angry black woman less angry.</span>
<span>~ $50,000.00? I would guess that would be a single pair of panties judging the amount of material it would take to cover that backside.</span>
<span>~ Michelle and expensive lingerie, like lipstick on a pig.</span>
<span>~ When you look like she does, $50,000 in lingerie is necessary. </span>
<span>~ "We Are The Shoppers We've Been Waiting For"</span>
    <span>~ 1% witch!</span>
    <span></span>
    <span>And they just keep coming.
    </span>
    <span>:-D</span>

  83. $50K on lingerie?  That's more than some people earn in a year - or two.  How the heck do they afford all her shopping sprees on their income?  Hope all that fancy underwear wasn't on our dime!

  84. LOL. Maybe it's from the yard-sale of the Palestinian version.

  85. Keep an eye on Mooch, she's gonna be pulling more of this crap, knowing that the jig is up. Talk about 'tone deaf', I'm gonna be spreading this around everywhere I can, no matter how many nightmares it may cause. I know some lingerie has those 'secret trapdoors' but I didn't think that's what she meant.

That's just gross, I could buy between 25-35 really sweet, high-end Gibson guitars with that kind of money, but I was just happy I scored a decent pair of work boots for $20. Oh well, since her useless husband put the 'boot on the neck' of two of Gibson's factories, the price is probably going up anyway

I think BO promised her...because she doesn't get a salary (or anything ;) )...she can do what she wants.
    She has no shame.
I read last week that when BO was a senator, she used to refuse to go to DC for events unless she got a new dress out of it. She's still pulling his "strings".  A little blackmail, too, I suppose.

  89. Not only is it obscene that she's dropping $50,000 on lingerie while so many Americans are struggling (optics matter, dear), but she didn't even have the decency to buy American!

Thank God the UK press isn't afraid to report on this stuff - because we'll never see anything like this in the NYT or Washington Post.

  90. That must be the last red board-and-batten barn left standing in the US.  A more accurate picture would have had the POSOTUS standing in front of a collapsed structure in an empty cattle lot.

  95. It's only "coincidental" that everything is escalating if you ignore the fact that this administration has done everything they can to restrict energy production in this country thereby driving up the price on gasoline and fuel stocks and hence EVERYTHING else that is made and/or delivered in this country.
