A Needed Stimulus For Our Robust Keynesian Recovery

News Alert: Economy Shrinks in the Fourth Quarter, 2012 – unexpectedly, of course.

What? I thought we would be in the middle of a massive Keynesian recovery by now; that’s what swept Big Guy to reelection, right?

I guess the the economy in retrograde is good news for Senator Mary “I am not going to keep cutting the discretionary budget, which by the way is not out of control, despite what you hear on Fox News”  Landrieu, however.

Although it looks like we may have a bigger problem than Fox News, this latest economic report does clear the way for Mary and her fellow Dems to increase “discretionary spending.” After all, unemployment checks and food stamps are the only arrows they have left in their quiver to “stimulate” the economy.

"It is the biggest bang for the buck when you do food stamps and unemployment insurance. The biggest bang for the buck,"  Nancy Pelosi, 7-06-10

This fallacious-on-its-face recovery technique is known by various names around the globe. The European style model is called the “Broken Window” recovery; closer to home it’s known as the “Retail Therapy Recovery”

the more you spend

And although you may not be smart enough to understand how this works, your betters (Nancy Pelosi, Valarie Jarrett and Paul Krugman) do, so don’t worry.

If you’re still not convinced, the highly esteemed publication, The Economist explains how using other people’s money for things such as the “Cash for Clunkers” is an excellent way to stimulate the economy. (Let the record reflect that the CFC effort cost taxpayers a modest $24,000 per “clunker” – at the same time reducing our collective carbon footprint!)

After reviewing all of these facts, I think we can all conclude that the best Way Forward! for America at this point would be for everybody to go on unemployment. Except the 1% of course; there’s no such thing as a free lunch for the greedy rich.

And don’t get excited about the stock market flitting with the 14,000 mark yesterday; it’ll retreat today on the economic news – the markets not being quite as enlightened as our political  intelligentsia. Plus, when you factor in the real inflation rate (and you ain’t seen nothin’ yet!) that’s still a reduction in the rate of return on your 401k. Butt heck, there’s no need to be Debbie Downer today – we’ve already moved on from the economy – that was so reelection 2012!

We’ve moved on from the economy (as well as the War on Women, Fast and Furious, illegal Executive Orders, illegal recess appointments, Benghazigate, etc., etc.) to Immigration Reform. It’s the most important item on our plate right now, because that’s the minority voting block we need to put more Dems in Congress at the mid-terms.

So, as of yesterday, we’ve officially kicked off our next campaign season! Our platform this time around is simple: Amnesty immigration reform, gun confiscation reform and gay marriage normalization. And if we can’t do it with those incalcitrant R-words, well, we’ll move FORWARD! on our own. That’s what Executive Orders were invented for.

watch where you're pointing that thing boHey! Watch where you’re pointing that thing, it might be loaded.

When plunder becomes a way of life for a group of men living together in society, they create for themselves in the course of time a legal system that authorizes it and a moral code that glorifies it.
