What a week. I think it’s time for a virtual trip to the beach.
It might rain, which affords it’s own dreary charms.
But if the sun rises over Lake St. Clair in southeast Michigan,
as well as over Lake Huron in Tawas in northeast Michigan,
it might just be a lovely day to take a partial Great Lakes Circle Tour around the Mitten state.
As it’s still early in the season, and the water is still very chilly the Lake Michigan beaches in the north are unlikely to be crowded.

That may be the case with those in the middle of West Michigan as well.

We should pull into southwest Michigan just in time to wrap up the day with the sunset over the piers and lighthouses of St. Joseph and Benton Harbor.

And without having to do all the driving you should feel refreshed and ready for another week of…who knows what.
NOTE: In reality you can’t drive around the entire state in one day unless you don’t stop to eat, use the facilities or sight see…and average 80 mph.
