I hear Democrats are boycotting the 4th of July celebrations in Washington because…Trump. Will they never progress beyond their middle school mean-girl phase? Of course they’ve been opposed to the Fourth for a long time. I’m sure they have many good reasons like land theft, colonialism and slavery. Here’s another one: does anyone else remember the 2011 Harvard “study” that led to headlines like these all around the country?

(ABC News) Attending a Fourth of July fireworks display or flag waving parade as a child slightly increases the likelihood that that kid will grow up to vote Republican, according to a study a team of Harvard University researchers.
Even a single July 4 celebration boosts the chance of turning a kid into a Republican, the study claims.

and squirrely stems bedecked with ribbons signifying the rockets taking off.
Just take my word for it, it’s one magnificent creation. Did I mention there are crab apples too?
