A Bit of Goose-Stepping Humor - Too Soon?

I know most of you have seen the clip of Alena Lee, (Asian) weatherbabe, (sexist) apologizing for running the clip featuring Kitler the Kat (white supremacist).

kitler the cat

She honestly should have known better: the left is currently demanding reparations for something that occurred 150 years ago; it should have been obvious that it’s too soon to make jokes about something that happened a mere 80 years ago.

I would say “show me the person who feels this portrayal of a cat born with a Hitler moustache in any way glorifies Nazis rather than ridiculing them” but apparently they are legion. Taking umbrage to the point of demanding a sincere apology for what was clearly a silly Caturday night cat schtick pretty much confirms the long-standing diagnosis that the left has collectively lost their sense of humor along with any semblance of innate irony. So no “Furred Reich” or “Mine Purrer!” jokes for them: it’s too soon.

A brief re-cap so far:

Funny: mein trump2

Not funny:

obama hitler

I’m honestly not sure where this image of a goose-stepping magpie falls in the scheme of leftist PC humor.

magpie step

But on the Alinsky scale of “ridicule is man's most potent weapon” I would award it high points.

Of course it’s waaay too soon to even think about making jokes about Dear Leader.

Palm Sunday: Remember How This Whole Thing Works

It was relatively warm yesterday so I took the opportunity to prune the Quickfire and Little Limelight hydrangeas scattered around the front of the house. They were all still wearing their tan winter mopheads from last season that needed to be snipped in anticipation of a new season’s growth.

Against the backdrop of muffled kids’ voices playing basketball down the street the quietude allowed me to reflect on how perfect these hydrangea varieties are. They bloom early, provide numerous large flowers well into the fall. Starting out pure white they first turn a light blush growing into a deeper pink until by late fall, they are a deep, deep crimson. You can cut them all summer and they will continue to produce new flowers that you can leave on the bush all winter where they provide a lovely muted tan backdrop for winter snow. Come spring, since they bloom on new wood, you can prune them back to the size you wish and with the requisite sun, water and food, the cycle starts anew.

The Little Limelights are also new wood bloomers whose blooms are smaller and start out – surprise! – lime green before turning pinkish towards fall.

My backyard is filled with the older pee gee hydrangea macrophylla variety. They are a different breed and require entirely different handling in that they bloom on old wood. If pruned correctly they yield  huge blue or pink tones, depending you how acidic your soil is or how you amend it.

The Pee Gees were glorious in their youth, once I discovered their proper care and handling. But as the years marched on and they fell into full shade as all the trees matured they stopped blooming altogether. I should have transplanted them years ago, when both I and they were younger and stronger. Still, they provide a reliable green albeit barren border year after year that requires ever so little; just some water, a bit of nourishment and a haircut from time to time.

So on this fine Palm Sunday, as plans are made for the Resurrection, and rebirth begins across all of the Northern Hemisphere, let us reflect a bit on the lovely metaphor we’ve been given in the here and now, and remember how this whole thing works.

 FLOWERS HYDRANGEA

Birth, death, renewal. Ever shall it be thus.

It’s Caturday: Do You Know What Your Cat Is?

Think of the glass maze as society; the blue Solo cups represent ordinary working blokes, the red Solos the entrepreneurs, the builders. The plastic goblets the elites.

Think of Cat #1 is a libertarian, carefully navigating through society without leaving a trace because he essentially just wishes to be left alone. Cat #2 is more of a modern Republican; he doesn’t wish to make many waves but does every now and again like to kick a bit of sand in the face of one of his enemies. Cat #3, well Cat #3 is your typical psychotic progressive liberal.

Progressives have never seen a societal order that can’t be improved by a bit of Cloward-Pivening. It’s best to know your cat’s inclination.

About That Slippery Slope Thing…

A reminder to our friends on the left who are fond of mocking us for mentioning the slippery slope phenomenon:slippery-slope

it exists, and it is detrimental to the course of human events.  Take for example the path of the progressive little white lie along that slippery slope.

Bill Clinton: “Everybody lies about sex.”

See the source image

Hillary Clinton: “Everybody lies about emails (and other stuff that’s none of your business).”

new-york-hillary-rodham-clinton-07efd97cb346c05a

Hunter Biden: “Everybody lies about drugs (and other stuff that’s none of your business).”

Hunter-China-Biden

Mainstream Media: “Everybody lies about dementia (and other stuff that’s true but we don’t want you to know about or is untrue and we want you to believe anyway).” (MSM)

biden presser

Ah yes, the most dubiously elected President in the history of the United States even has trouble with the paint–by-number presser his own staff put together for him.

Yes America, where are we indeed? Pretty close to the bottom of that slope half the country pretends doesn’t exist, that’s where.

Up Your Nose With A Rubber Hose

It’s officially Throwback Thursday so let’s review: a year ago this week the world officially went into lockdown mode to “flatten the curve,” aka the longest two weeks in history.

It didn’t matter, it never really mattered, the virus was going to do what viruses do regardless of governments’ orders. The charts and graphs bear this regrettable truth out over and over.

Sweden (no lockdown) v United Kingdom (draconian lockdown)

uk-sweden-graph covid

Florida (lifted lockdown/masks) v California (draconian lockdown/masks)

florida-california covid jpg

And as for masks themselves, well, the “science” does not bear out their efficacy.

mask-graph covid

So while the governments of the world enjoyed newly contrived powers and you felt somehow safer for it, it didn’t matter, it never actually mattered. Government-imposed Kabuki theatrics never do, and they’re never intended to.

It’s been more than apparent for most of the last fifty-two weeks that the agenda of lockdown was not public health, but laying the groundwork for the “new normal” and “the great reset”.

But hold on: they’re not done with us yet! Nose masks, for you to wear while you’re eating/drinking. And no, I’m not making this up.

Something new from the department of NTJFWU (now they’re just f**king with us)

Just say no. Please. Resistance is not futile, it’s all you’ve got.

Let The Gods Of The Copybook Headings Limp Up To Explain It Once More

As I pass through my incarnations in every age and race,
I make my proper prostrations to the Gods of the Market Place.
Peering through reverent fingers I watch them flourish and fall,
And the Gods of the Copybook Headings, I notice, outlast them all.

Rudyard Kipling, Gods of the Copybook Headings

Earlier this month C.J. Hopkins followed up an article he’d posted on Consent Factory, Inc. with a Facebook post of a photo by Gunnar Kaiser of the Dusseldorf Tower tricked out with the catchy propaganda slogan Impfen = Freiheit (Vaccination = Freedom). He attached a pithy 7 word commentary: “not quite Arbeit Macht Frei” but close enough.”

The gods of the marketplace were angered. How dare a conspiracy monger conjure up an allusion to Nazis in connection with their plan to vaccinate the world against the evil Covid!?

Arbeit Macht Frei by Joe Gledhill | Black & White Magazine | For Collectors of Fine PhotographyThe infamous entrance to Auschwitz: ARBEIT MACHT FREI – work makes you free…(and war is peace, ignorance is strength, freedom is slavery)

Retaliation for reposting this unacceptable innuendo was immediate and censorious: the accounts of the violators spreading this heresy were disabled for various amounts of time, presumably based on their previous record of Facebook terrorism. Thus we bend, willingly or not, to the Gods of the Market Place, the New World Order Global Capitalists who no longer need pretend they tolerate dissent of any kind. You will find that  CJ Hopkins laid the whole thing out fairly well:

So, we’re almost a year into the “New Normal” (a/k/a “pathologized totalitarianism”) and things are still looking … well, pretty totalitarian.

Most of Western Europe is still in “lockdown,” or “under curfew,” or in some other state of “health emergency.” Police are fining and arresting people for “being outdoors without a valid reason.” Protest is still banned. Dissent is still censored. The official propaganda is relentless. Governments are ruling by edict, subjecting people to an ever-changing series of increasingly absurd restrictions of the most fundamental aspects of everyday life.

And now, the campaign to “vaccinate” the entirety of humanity against a virus that causes mild to moderate flu-like symptoms or, more commonly, no symptoms at all, in over 95% of those infected, and that over 99% of the infected survive (and that has no real effect on age-adjusted death rates, and the mortality profile of which is more or less identical to the normal mortality profile) is being waged with literally religious fervor.

He tracks the beginning:

Phase 1 was pretty much classic “shock and awe.” An “apocalyptic virus” was “discovered.” A global “state of emergency” was declared. Constitutional rights were cancelled. Soldiers, police, surveillance cameras, military drones, and robot dogs were deployed to implement the worldwide police state. The masses were bombarded with official propaganda, photos of people dropping dead in the street, unconscious patients dying in agony, bodies being stuffed into makeshift morgue trucks, hospital ships, ICU horror stories, projections of hundreds of millions of deaths, terror-inducing Orwellian slogans, sentimental “war effort” billboards, and so on. The full force of the most formidable Goebbelsian propaganda machine in history was unleashed on the public all at once.

the middling:

But the “shock and awe” phase can’t go on forever, nor is it ever intended to. Its purpose is (a) to terrorize the targeted masses into a state of submission, (b) to irreversibly destabilize their society, so that it can be radically “restructured,” and (c) to convincingly demonstrate an overwhelming superiority of force, so that resistance is rendered inconceivable. This shock and awe (or “rapid dominance”) tactic has been deployed by empires, and aspiring empires, throughout the course of military history. It has just been deployed by GloboCap against … well, against the entire world.

and the endgame of sorts:

The shape of Phase 2 is not entirely clear yet, but one can make a few logical assumptions. Typically, this is the phase in which the conquering force (in this case, GloboCap) restores “normality” (i.e., a “new normality”) to the society it has just destabilized and terrorized. It installs a new occupation-friendly government, restarts the economy, and otherwise begins the gradual transition from martial law to something resembling “normal” everyday life. It hands out candy bars to kids, financial aid to businesses, power to generals and police, and “freedom” to the shell-shocked public.

Fear not good people, our short term prospects look quite bleak but in the long run the Gods of the Copybook Headings always prevail. Because, yes, mankind really is that predictable; if only we would learn to do learning.

And that after this is accomplished, and the brave new world begins When all men are

Then the Gods of the Market tumbled, and their smooth-tongued wizards withdrew
And the hearts of the meanest were humbled and began to believe it was true
That All is not Gold that Glitters, and Two and Two make Four
And the Gods of the Copybook Headings limped up to explain it once more.

Throwback Thursday, Tuesday Edition

Cool Brew asked yesterday if anyone remembered the “Barack Hussein Obama umm, umm, umm” song that teachers across America had their charges sing back in the good old days. I’m certain I did a post on it at the time and was searching the blog for “umm, um, um.” I never found the Brown Shirt post butt you’d be surprised at how often the term “umm, um, um” has appeared over the years.

I’m leaving this little gem from 2015 that I stumbled across for your Throwback Thursday-On-Tuesday edition reading pleasure. I’m off to get new glasses that I’ve deferred for a year now due to cootie constraints. When you can no longer read the fine print it might be time to fill the new script.

So have a good time. You might want to click on the original link, here, to see the original comments as well, there are voices of some of our fallen comrades (greetingsfromyonkers, JanicetheElder, deehra – aka NotMySocks, Claire) as well as some who have just gone missing, whereabouts unknown, like Lili.

Staff harvested the garden earlier Wednesday, so all that was left for the first lady and two dozen students to do was to prepare the waiting baskets and bowls of cauliflower, kohlrabi, broccoli, fennel and lettuce.

Umm, um um – that sounds yummy.

Trumpet, Trumpet Good

The rumor about President Trump launching his own social media platform appears to be true.

Former President Donald Trump is planning to return to social media with his own social network, according to spokesman Jason Miller.

"I do think that we're going to see President Trump returning to social media, probably in about two or three months here, with his own platform."

And because President Donald J. Trump never does anything small you can anticipate the social platform will be just the first building block in the creation of a media empire. I’ve given a great deal of thought as to what he should name his new venture and recognizing that he has a bias for affixing the family name to his creations - blow his own horn if you will - I believe I’ve come up with the perfect name for this new empire. Actually Raj came up with it but since we’re a team I’m going to take credit, so are you ready? Here it is: TRUMPET. The Trumpet Media® - I quite like it and the the symbolism is near endless.

The Trumpets of Jericho:

The 7th Trumpet of Revelation:

A Trumpet swan taking flight:

Possibly even the “Trumpets of Jericho” Stuka dive bomber. Oh sure, it was a German Luftwaffe craft:

tsm3213

The Trumpets of Jericho – the Luftwaffe Used Sirens Attached To Stuka Dive Bombers To Cause Panic And Fear Among Their Enemies. Probably the most iconic German aircraft during WWII, the Stuka dive bomber became the symbol of a string of successful campaigns in the early stages of the war.

And eventually Allied airpower got the better of it, but there’s no argument that it served it’s purpose upfront.

What specifically made these planes horrific were the two horns attached to the wings which produced a screeching sound once the aircraft was inbound for a strike. As the Stuka descended from the sky to drop its deadly load, the scream which accompanied it had a devastating effect on the morale of anyone who was on the ground. War History Online

Imagine the same concept only with virtual digital sound, thus eliminating the need for the weight of the  actual sirens that slowed the bomber down thus limiting its velocity. Now both the fear factor and the strike power would be quite intimidating.

So yes, I think TRUMPET® is the perfect name for a new media rising. If any of you are on a first name basis with our President, Ivanka, Donald Jr. or even Eric, please pass this suggestion on.
