Dim Sum? Yes.

Quelle surprise! As it turns out President Trump was 110% correct about calling COVID-19 the Chinese Virus.

According to the Daily Mail today, which is once again doing the work American journalists refuse to do:

China lab leak is the 'most credible' source of the coronavirus outbreak, says top US government official, amid bombshell claims Wuhan scientist has turned whistleblower.

Mr Pottinger said that the latest intelligence points to the virus leaking from the top-secret Wuhan Institute of Virology, 11 miles from the market, saying: 'There is a growing body of evidence that the lab is likely the most credible source of the virus.'

Matthew Pottinger, who is President Donald Trump's respected Deputy National Security Adviser, says the most 'credible' theory about the origin of coronavirus is that it escaped from from the top-secret Wuhan Institute of Virology in ChinaTop-secret Wuhan Institute of Virology in China

So, it escaped from a super-secret lab where it was being tinkered with as opposed to being a natural mutation that spread unfortunately but innocently from bats in the Wuhan Wet Market. How unbelievable! Who could have imagined such a thing?

Defying Beijing, Donald Trump doubles down on use of 'Chinese virus' label for Covid-19 | South China Morning Post

As China was hawking the “wet market scenario” journalists back in America, where “truth” is now a quaint, almost anachronistic concept, were busy promoting Beijing's version while simultaneously spinning the myth that our President was racist for calling a Chinese spade a spade. Yeah, they really think we’re that stupid.

Now that the president has joined in, referring to the virus this week as the “Chinese Virus” and repeatedly defending the label, the situation for Asian Americans is likely about to go from bad to worse, several experts told The Post.

(In) the latest instance of Trump deliberately calling the novel virus a name that has been frowned upon by critics, who say its usage could lead to increased discrimination and racism toward Asian Americans

“It’s racist and it creates xenophobia,” Harvey Dong, a lecturer in Asian American and Asian diaspora studies with the University of California at Berkeley, told The Post. “It’s a very dangerous situation.”

“[Trump is] essentially throwing his American citizens or residents of Chinese and Asian descent ‘under the bus’ by ignoring the consequences of the language he uses,” said Cheah, a psychology professor at the University of Maryland Baltimore County. “He’s fueling these anti-Chinese sentiments among Americans … not caring that the people who will truly suffer the most are Chinese Americans and other Asian Americans, his citizens whom he’s supposed to protect.” WaPo 3-20-20

And apparently over 80 million Americans - give or take a few million – really are that stupid.

Dim sum? Yeah, all day, everyday. God help us.
