Risky/Not Risky; Attending/Not attending; Dougie/not Dougie

Risky/Not Risky

Do these people ever listen to themselves? Or think? I don’t remember any other Administration so discombobulated so much of the time.

OBL

Maybe it’s that “experience” thing again. I wonder if we could maybe hire Big Guy an executive coach along with his new teleprompter coach.

Attending/Not Attending

Ground Zero ceremony today:

  • George W. Bush: No. Thank you for asking though.
  • Dick Cheney: not invited
  • Donald Rumsfeld: definitely not invited
  • Rudy Giuliani: uncommitted as of press time, butt yes, he’ll be there; he owns ground zero.
  • Joey Bidden: will attend, if someone will divulge the location
  • Bill Clinton: previous engagement
  • Hillary Clinton: undecided, waiting on poll results
  • Leon Panetta: undecided, unclear if his timeout will be over in time
  • ValJar: are you kidding? Wouldn’t miss it for the world.
  • Eric Holder: boycotting Ground Zero until such time as the new Mosque is built
  • Sarah Palin: not invited. Had conflict any way; combat training
  • Oprah: Uh…no. Busy.
  • Chris Matthews: Yes, with rings on his fingers, bells on his toes and tingles in his pants
  • Nancy Pelosi: Yes, butt she’ll be 5 years late
  • Harry Reid: No. He fell over yesterday and got a boo boo. Don’t worry, he’s fine.
  • Senator Chucky Schummer: is there a camera?
  • Rep. Anthony Weiner: is there a camera?
  • Rep. Peter King: attending, butt not really welcome
  • Donald Trump: undecided, wants to see the official invitation

Dougie/Not Dougie

Well, I’ll leave this one up to you to decide because I don’t really  know who or what a Dougie is. I’m guessing that it’s some new kind of flash-line dance invented by Beyonce. See what you think:

Dougie by Beyoncé at PS 161, Harlem

And wow! That “Let’s Move” campaign must really work because I don’t see any fat behinds there; at least not until BeyoncĂ© shows up

Alternate “Dougie” by Lady M at Alice Deal Middle School, Washington. No kids fat behinds here either.

She’s a Rich Girl, She Don’t Try to Hide it

A little traveling music: Play and cruise.

Paul Simon, Ladysmith Black Mambazo: Diamonds on the Soles of her Shoes

It was an emotional day for Lady M:

Obama appeared visibly moved when the audience stood and sang an impromptu serenade as she approached the podium. Placing her hands over her heart, she thanked the crowd and seemed to choke back tears.

hp memorial

Indeed. She had just received the report that only 3 out of 10 voters back home plan to vote for Big Guy in 2012. Who wouldn’t be chocked up? Butt she soldiered on.

Local news sources reported on Lady M’s very busy day, from the South African Times/Live:

Dianah Mukundwa from Rwanda said of Obama: "She was so inspiring. I expected her to be like a first lady and be about protocol, but she wasn't.

Boy, I’ll say.

      She's a rich girl
She don't try to hide it
Diamonds on the soles of her shoes

APTOPIX South Africa Michelle Obama AfricaLady M and Nelson Mandela: not much protocol here

Lady M covered a lot of territory in one day:

Late yesterday, Obama visited a daycare centre in Zandspruit, an informal settlement north of Johannesburg, before visiting the Apartheid Museum in Ormonde, southern Johannesburg, where she met young women from all over the continent who were hosted by the Young African Women Leaders Forum in Pretoria.

Obama told the women that she wanted her daughters to be like them.

And she said honey take me dancing
But they ended up by sleeping
      In a doorway
By the bodegas and the lights on

No Ma'am, but I can put people in a trance

With her back to the cameras and journalists, she told them: "This is just the beginning. This is the start of a conversation with women from all over the globe.

"I'm so proud of you all. This is the culmination of everything that I could imagine. I'm humbled. I just wanna hug you all."

"We asked her how [Barack] Obama felt about her being away, and she told us that he knew she was a strong woman."

I mean everybody here would know exactly
    What I was talking about
    Talking about diamonds

Obama also briefly spoke to the group about fitness and the importance of getting enough sleep.

kidsSo you’ll grow big and tall like me!

Meanwhile, rumors circulated that Lady M was dissed by President Jacob Zuma, who was still apparently miffed over Big Guy’s KMA in Libya.  Butt I tell you what: if they’re going to go all Roman on us over such a little thing, we may just have to colonialize them all over again.

Those African Marxist leaders are such hypocrites. And about the diamonds on the soles of their shoes? They’re blood diamonds.

In related news: Big Guy is still working his fingers to the bone on his abacus to figure how many troops he should withdraw tonight for maximum political impact. After the “3 out of 10” poll, I’m going to predict we’re going to pull out completely sometime before the next election. Of Afghanistan, silly. Weiner already resigned.

    Our Diptych Trip Tic

In case you’re wondering,  "Interlude" is a techno song by the heavy metal band Attack Attack! It's also become a halftime dance phenom at the University of Northern Iowa. Its beauty lies in the fact that it’s so simple even a stadium full of drunken college students can do it. So it was a natural for Lady M’s Let’s Move those fat behinds kick off.

I know what you’re thinking: How could Lady M ever top her own dance performance art as displayed below in this iconic triptych panel titled simply Lady M does the Dougie:

upandawayAlice Deal Middle School for a Let's Move fitness eventvee vant to pump you up

Butt not so fast! With the Wons, past performance IS a guarantee of future results! So behold: you ain’t seen nothin’ yet! The Dougie is child’s play compared to the “Interlude” – performed live in Des Moines yesterday by Lady M and her fan club.

          mo's interlude Mo boogie nights

I’ve produced this very special Wells Fargo Stadium collection – which I fully expect will be available shortly along with our other Runway to Win offerings - as limited edition bath towels in several variations. I call the above “Interlude II.” It’s a simple diptych.

This is a companion piece titled “Interlude III” which is, obviously, a triptych:

mo lookin like bill cosbymo mo movesmono

Each piece will be available separately in our WTF 2012 store, or - for a very limited time – purchased as a set. But wait! There’s more!! If you order immediately I’ll throw in a table runner printed with the entire collection in a classic pentaptych: “Interlude V”

    Screenshot Studio capture #394

“Interlude V” will also be available for purchase separately, which might be your best value, as you get all 5 images, only much, much smaller.

Butt I better stop marketing and get back to my day job: we had two more stops (and because we’re royalty celebrity FLOTUS, two more wardrobe changes) after the “Let’s Move” anniversary fruit cake was presented at the Wells Fargo stadium in Des Moines.

mo fruit cakeFruit Cake. On the left.

The next stop on our Sticky and Sweet rock star revival tour was the Little Rock Air Force Base. Here we delivered the gospel of nutrition to our soldiers, who need to be saved from themselves. And…are you ready? We wore a suit! A nice, conservative grey suit with a longer jacket! And it fit, more or less. Goodness though, I must be getting old: I remember when that wouldn’t even be news.

            whoa momadonna

Lady M channeling her Madgesty, Madonna

We did dress the rather drab suit up a bit with a stylized red paper airplane pin on the lapel; in honor of our flyboys and girls.

    red jet mo

She dialed the wardrobe choices down in order not to detract from the seriousness of her gospel message of healthy eating and nutrition:

umm umm ummOh boy! Broccoli! And salads! Now let’s go out there and fight fight fight the bad guys!!

BTW, did you notice that the price of ground beef is up 23% since last year? Which might surprise you, because the CPI number most commonly reported in the LSM remains very low.

    January 19, 2012
On a seasonally adjusted basis, the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers was unchanged in December, as it was in November. The index for all items less food and energy rose 0.1 percent in December after increasing 0.2 percent in November.

Only .1%. That doesn’t sound so bad. Of course, we’ve dropped food and energy from the index in order to make the “consumers price index” more useful, somehow. Since most people spend the bulk of their money on food and energy I guess maybe they just figured you would probably notice on your own, and didn’t need it reported officially.

Anyway, the sharp increase in meat has nothing whatsoever to do with Lady M’s gospel of eating more fresh fruits and vegetables -  they’ve all gone up on average 25%. No, Lady M ‘s preaching is real: she wants to save you from your own bad self:

mo lenoveggie pizza – umm, umm, umm

Any hoo – our day was still far from over. Back onto Air Force Won Too on our way to Texas and dinner at the local Olive Garden (proud supporter of Lady M’s No Childs Fat Behind program, and recipient of an Obamacare waiver) with local parents who have changed the way their families are eating. Presumably to get healthier; not because they can’t afford to eat the way they used to.

fort worth olive gardenmo nodocy's happy

Note: the same meal as the soldiers got, salad and bottled water. Combining our healthy eating program with our fiscal responsibility plan.

We changed into something more appropriate for dinner at an Olive Garden: a fuchsia mini-me sweater complimenting a coral and plum shell, boob belt, shiny black pants, our favorite pleather jacket and silk chiffon scarf. Good to go.

    mo ft worth

You’ve no idea how hard it is to pack for these trips. While no one questioned the need for a shower and change after our Iowa “Interlude,” seriously, I think the suit might have been okay for dinner too. Butt Lady M takes these performances seriously, and wants to dress in a manner that demonstrates her commitment.

Besides, all the best divas change their costume between acts.

Weaving and Bobbing Our Way Across Afrika

    ourculturalbetters

Oh my! Who put a bug up Andrew Malcolm’s butt? Did you see the cheeky article – “Michelle Obama’s magical family tour of Africa” – he wrote for the LA Times?

In the photo above, the entourage has just arrived Friday in Botswana on a U.S. government plane and was greeted by some traditional dancers.

One of the male dancers  then got up close (right), to the delight of Mrs. Obama, although apparently not so much to her mother, Marian Robinson (on the left).

In Cape Town, Obama (above left) kicked a soccer ball around with some youngsters.

During their three-day South Africa trip, Obama and her daughters, Sasha and Malia, read to some children in Johannesburg (below).

The family entourage will now disappear for a day on a private safari experience.

Boy, talk about thinly disguised snipe. What did Lady M ever do to him?

    dougiegetlow

And then we got this, from Ms.NBC no less!

She said her weeklong trip to South Africa and Botswana is proof of the president's commitment to Africa.

"This trip is a reflection, a direct reflection, of his support and his interest and his view of the importance of Africa to the world and to the future of the world," she said. "That's why I'm here."

Usually amongst our most reliably supportive press, could it be that Ms.NBC didn’t realize how this statement could be misconstrued to imply that  Big Guy was a little…uh, detatched? And Lady M a little…uh, egotistical? Sort of like saying “Big Guy is too important and too busy to come himself, butt look! He sent ME! His only begotten wife!”

I’m sure they didn’t mean it that way. Because, as I mentioned, they’re usually amongst our most reliable suck ups  house organs news outlets. And we really, really depend on our reliable media:

I know it’s been a busy week for many of us. So in case you haven’t been able to keep up, here’s a brief recap, in pictures, of Lady M working her butt across the Dark Continent:

Oh, and don’t worry about the disappearance of the  Reverend Sharpton-esque wighat bob, which was replaced with a more natural hair weave:

    Sir Seretse Khama International Airport

Lady M gave the bob to this young lady, who was – as you can see – very moved by Lady M’s generosity.

    Spew Alert!

And finally, if you, like the trolls at Fox News, think that we don’t care about protocol, take a gander at this. Ann Barnhardt featured our motivational/training poster of Lady M demonstrating  proper protocol for greeting Big Guy:
