We Can Be Thankful This Year

I know a lot of you wonder if there is anything to be thankful for this year after losing the “O” - lympics and other snubs from a recently ungrateful world, but there is:

Be thankful for the men and women who, as Jack Nicholson said, “Stand on a wall” and keep us free. So troops, from me and everyone in America:

THANK YOU

and

HAPPY THANKSGIVING !!!!

MOTUS will be spending the next few days at an undisclosed location, breaking bread and gobbling turkey with the troops. Back on Sunday. Let’s all be careful out there.

  1. MOTUS ~ Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. Thanks for what you do in trying to keep this country more beautiful.

I too thank the troops and anyone that has served their country. Without them we wouldn't be free to express ourselves as we are and we might very well be reading this in Russian or some other foreign language.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone ~ if you're traveling be careful and travel safe.

  2. And a Happy Thanksgiving to you as well MOTUS. Thanks for giving us something to laugh about and cheer us up in this daunting period of our history. And, how wonderful that you'll be spending time with our troops...couldn't think of a better way. We will be sober and safe on the highway today and you be too...We need you!

  3. MOTUS,
I give thanks for the courage of our brave men and women in uniform also. They are never out of my thoughts.

I also give thanks to you for providing a much needed chuckle everyday, even if it is at the expense of MO. Laughter is the best medicine.
    Keep up the good work.

  4. Congrats Motus on helping MO place #1 on Elle magazine's 'political chic' list, above the ever beautiful and well dressed Carla Bruni! WTG

On the other hand, I'm very worried that by taking off until Sunday you have gotten yourself into hot water! Is there no one that could have taken your place to help MO dress? Maybe the Hubble telescope or someone?

I was so worried about your job security when I saw this photo of MO accepting the White House Christmas (oops HOLIDAY) tree that I burst into tears:

Please tell me that MO did not throw anything at you upon your return to duties in the WH.

  5. Why, oh why does this woman seem to wear clothes a couple of sizes too small?

  6. Breeze,

I really think she thinks they make her look smaller. I can't think of any other reason and I do know some heavier folks that wear tight clothing and some that's too small because they think that's better than wearing something loose fitting or properly fitting. They do think it makes them appear smaller.

  7. You're right, Funky Town.

But those tiny little sweaters! Surely, even
if she doesn't look into Motus, she must see
herself in SOME photos. It looks like she
raided Sasha's clothes closet, Malia is getting
quite tall and even her things must be bigger
    than THAT....

    PATHETIC!

  8. I think she picked that up from Ophrey. Have you ever noticed her in pants? O should refrain. As should MO.
